John White went back to England to get provisions for Roanoke, not for "reinforcements" against hostile Native Americans. In fact, one of the theories is that the survivors went to live with a local tribe they had friendly relations with.

@@babybookworm003 you & Cary Rodda are correct. Many believe this is how the Lumbee tribe got its start, with the settlers joining the Cherokee/ Iroquois indians of the area, becoming an off shoot & forming their own tribe. Supposedly, this explains the natives with blue eyes & light hair seen upon their return. It is known the Lumbee tribe is an amalgamation of various Iroquoisan, Algonquin, & Siouan speaking tribes & is one of the largest tribes in the country. Many native North Carolinaians, like myself, have Lumbee or Cherokee or even both, heritage.

Number 24 has been solved, with the rocks even being caught moving on time lapse. Although they are found in the hottest place on earth, the nights, and winters can be extremely cold. Ice forms from water vapour on the ground, and on the bottom of the rocks. This means that even fairly large rocks can be moved about by the wind, which is exactly what happens. The effect has been replicated successfully several times. As the rock is only millimetres above the surface, the underlying topsoil is disturbed as the rock moves, leaving the puzzling trails. Some of the longer ones have taken decades to make, and as there is little to no rainfall in the area, they don't get washed away.

The sailing stones thing was proven. They tracked specific stones, measured weather conditions between times of known changes in position of the stones, and then recreated the weather conditions in a lab, and got the same results. The changes in direction of the stones are due to changes in wind direction during storms.

The Voynich manuscript was translated in January 2018. Written in medieval Turkish, it was hard to decode due to the writer putting two or more characters together. It is supposedly a herbal book filled with snake oil cures that were common at the time. It is believed that the Mary Celeste, which was carrying rum at the time, encountered storms that caused the rum to react with the rainwater and produce a smoke-like mist. Thinking that the ship was on fire, the captain ordered the ship be abandoned.

Advice: When using a picture or piece of video to explain something, such as the Siberian explosion, include a caption saying it's not the actual event. I know it probably isn't as I'm sure a lot of people do. But their are many who may think the opposite. Also, if the media you use is not yours, give a courtesy credit to who it does belong to.

@@Bassingal The Bermuda Triangle has no more unexplainable or bizarre stories than anywhere else in the world. People just talk about them more often and try to lump many incidents together for good stories. More unexplainable things have happened outside of the Bermuda Triangle than inside it over the last 100 years, and that means…. nothing, because things happen no matter the location.

Some of these arent mysteries anymore, and can you guys atleast show some clips or sample footages or sightings other than just having a googled picture shown for about a minute or more just like the "ball lightning on an aircraft" , "the eerie sounds heard all over the world", "the stone formation in the bahamas", "marfa lights" they all have available footages... I mean not to be a hater but atleast do a better research on your topics, almost half of these mysteries have a solid explanation or an updated one.

#18 That was a very large meteoroid better known as an asteroid. Roughly 28,000 feet in the air, it fragmented and essentially exploded. At more than 33,000 mph, hitting our atmosphere tends to burn up most things which fall inward from space. Many times resulting in the meteor self destructing due to the heat and pressure. There will be no impact crater from explosions at those altitudes. Simply ask the military exactly how powerful air blasts are. Suddenly, the layout of the trees, the lack of an impact crater since it never impacted the planet, and the man's shirt being on fire will make perfect sense. No mystery, just simple math and physics

#16, even when the man who started the hoax came out and admitted it, showed how he did it and explained all the details, people still believe it. When going to Lynn Lake, Manitoba. Canada where what's his name who has sung for Red Ryder for years is from, there was not even a winter road back then. We had to take a jet plane there from Thompson. Ball lightning hit the right wing and it smoked like crazy for the 10, minutes left of the flight. At least we landed safely. But ball lighting is more frequent than people think, it just is not always captured on photos or videos. Interesting video. Thanks.

One of these will absolutely never get solved, and that's the identity of Jack the Ripper, the case has gotten so cold by now that it may as well be frozen. While people do have theories as to who the elusive serial killer (or even killers) was, none can be conclusively proven. Same might go for the Zodiac Killer, it has been decades and the police aren't even remotely close to identifying them, so maybe they might be seen as a more modern Jack the Ripper.

Atlantis is a FICTIONAL STORY! How often do people need to be told that? The story Plato wrote about a particular conversation couldn't be true as he wrote it over 40 years after the one character died! It's an analogy about what happens when those in charge get too full of themselves. It's still appropriate, clearly. As for Nessie, even if she exists, she can't be older than 12,000 years old. Ness is a glacial loch. There was no water in it during the last ice age (and all of the previous ones when the valley existed), the ice was full to the bottom of the loch and scraped it clean. Not even a tadpole could have survived that (assuming one could survive the freezing temperatures and hibernate for thousands of years!) The sailing stones 'mystery' was solved recently (before this came out IIRC). It's the ice and wind - it was filmed happening, I think. Too tired to look it up for now, but it definitely happened. One day there'll be different mysteries - in the meantime, we get the same ones over and over again, even when they aren't mysteries anymore.
