I've never heard of McGibbon's Provenance,🤔 but there is still the odd bottle of Douglas Laing Provenance floating about--probably heaps more in places like the UK, mind you--with pretty young ages and usually quiet barrels... at least of the couple I've seen/tried.

Guys, I thought overall this was freaking brilliant. I thought you were going to pull off a screamer for a moment.... Great knowledge of Provenance. Auction purchase, recently opened. To me, no old bottle effect to give away the distilled 1999 and a very spirit driven whisky that seems to taste like it was just bottled and quite young. Interested to hear Joe's notes when he has his drink along bottle - it's fine but wasn't a bottle I wished I could hop on a time machine and buy more of...

We're saving the screamer up I'm certain... But yes, McGibbon's Provenance holds a dear place in our hearts as one of our very early gateways into single cask whisky. I remember buying these for $50-$60 back in the day... alas.
