Sorry, I've made it a little fast but you can use the speed setting to slow the video down and follow better. Some braids are harder to grasp so it might take a few times even in slow mode to memorize the pattern. Good luck!

interesting and quite usefull! some of the shapes I didn't get, and some of the ones I really liked (and were easy) weren't shown done (at the end), for long enough. but what is really missing is showing the shapes baked, or only risen: some shapes looked crooked or ugly, but I have enough experience to know that while rising, some of the shapes change and uneven parts, become more even... thanks for sharing!

You can use any dough you wish, I used 2 different doughs for the purpose of this video, one is from wheat flour, the other is from corn flour.

Hi Lauren! I know what you mean but unfortunately I live alone, so baking and eating 25 loaves of bread will take forever (which is why nobody ever made such a video, I guess). However, I intend to make a video with bun shapes, probably much more than 25, these I can bake and eat as they are smaller in size - usually the same or almost the same shaping techniques can be applied to bread as well.

How do you know how long to bake these?

The video is only showing the ways to braid the dough. The baking time will depend on the bread recipe used, the way you shape the bread shouldn't change the baking time, unless you made it way thinner or thicker than you usually shape and bake the same dough. If that happened, you can rekneed and reshape the bread, making thinner or thicker braids as needed, or use another design, which appears closer to the size needed.

@@kimpanguy7027 the shapes aren't connected to a specific recipe, you can use any typical bread recipe, even on a smaller scale for buns. What is important is the height of the bread shouldn't be too high, perhaps 3 fingers, otherwise the center might not bake well. The width of the bread can be anything, simply adjust your tray. If you aren't very experienced with bread making, I would suggest making a test loaf first before making the real deal if it's for a special occasion. Be brave and experiment, practice makes perfect and all bread will be eaten anyway 😊
