Any ferret you see as a pet has been spayed or castrated. This is done while very young by the breeder.

Hey Mike! Great show as usual. I’m surprised that you didn’t mention the Key Deer located on only one small Key Island (I believe). With you being a Floridian, I’m bewildered. Apparently they are the rareist and smallest Deer species and are only found on Key Deer Island. I witnessed 5 of them driving back from Key West in 1993. The speed limit there is only 10 MPH to protect the species. Check it out.

I actually once held a rabbit while I met some new friends I made at a summer camp a little over a decade ago. We were at the camp’s nature reserve, and I especially found the bunnies interesting to learn about. Also, yeah, bunnies are undoubtedly one of the cutest little critters God has ever given life to. Also, by the way, when it comes to their noses twitching for them to be able to breathe, I now understand that’s why it’s kind of important, even if you are holding a bunny just because you want to pet/cuddle them.

18:02 the hand waving is to cool their feet on the hot desert sand (they do it with their rear legs as well) .... and the head bobbing is communication between each other (dominance and/or mating) - Please don't claim its unknown why lol. Basic knowledge here in Australia. Very common, make great pets

Even if not in a hot desert environment raised as a pet they will still arm wave. So it might mean more. I have owned a few. I would go for walks with them on my shoulder and they would just chill.

I have to ask why you said that Axolotls are vegetarians. I have had 2 of these amazing creatures for over 10 years, and I have never fed them vegetables. They eat frozen bloodworms, feeder fish, and earthworms. When they are young you need to keep them separated because they will cannibalize each other.

Also i am proud of polar bears finding a way to survive even after the ice is gone. It's a way that maybe other animals have evolved in the past that we just don't know about. I know some are scared of the grolar bears increasing but this is a saving grace for the polar bears. Grizzly bears are doing ok as far as i know but in the long run this hybrid breeding may help them too in some way.

I don't understand why "traditional medicine" contains pangolin scales, rhino horns and similar animal parts. The "pharmacists" could just trim human finger and toenails and crush them. The same ingredients are in all of these things and are free! Kakapos are adorable! What's with the ugly thing!? Btw, polar bear x grizzly bear offspring have long been known as "pizzly bears". Maybe it depends on which bear is the mother or father, as with ligers and tigons.

Knew quite a few of these already. I wasn't aware of the bunny nose... I knew they couldn't burp though. Few facts to add: The platypus has bio-luminescent fur. I knew about the barb, in fact, there was a recent news article about a woman who decided to pick one up in a gutter and she got jabbed by it. Pandas are supposed to be carnivores based on their teeth, but they eat more vegetarian. They often don't understand how mating works and if they have more than one cub, the other(s) are taken away for their safety because the mother will basically ignore all but a single cub. Koalas are considered one of, if not the dumbest, animals. They don't seem to understand fire and rain. They carry STDs and pass them on to their offspring. They eat poison (eucalyptus) and will not recognize food (ONLY eucalyptus!) even if it's put on a plate in front of them, it absolutely NEEDS to be on the tree. They have one of, if not the smoothest brains (yes, a "Smooth brain" is actually a sign of lower intelligence) in animals. Bearded dragons can have some nasty smelling feces! I had one poop on my shoe and could smell it before I could see it and almost vomited right then. It was worse than the hairball or cat poo I had to clean up in the same house. They can also inflate themselves by swallowing air. I know this because a relative's wife owned one that DID NOT LIKE HIM. At one point when he was feeding it, it jumped up out of the terrarium, snapped the romaine leaf out of his hand and bit his finger simultaneously before dropping back in and started munching. A bit annoyed by this, he reached in to flick it as "punishment" and it started puffing up like "yeah, I dare ya to flick me you tall pink bastard!" Guinea pigs are very social animals and depending on where you get them, you may be expected, legally, to buy 2 or more at a time. My friend's mother had an American Longhair that was caged in the stairway of their apartment, about 5' from her door. She was untrained, but when her piggymum had a low blood sugar, it would start wheeking up a storm and rattling the bars. It would listen to see if she pulled out the testing kit and if it didn't hear the click of the lancet or the meter beep, it would continue to make a racket. Once it heard the click, the beep, and the rattle of a candy or food wrapper, it would settle down. Same friend also had a mini rex (rabbit) that REALLY liked her guinea pig BFF. So much so that they had to get a second cage because the mini rex started mounting the piggy. Both were female. Furry Potatoes can live a bit over a decade when well cared for and loved. Don't believe a shop that tells you 2-5 years at best.

Yes, China does own all the pandas and lease them out. But if you live in the US, you only have until Dec 2024 to see them (Atlanta Zoo's lease end date) as China is no longer renewing American leases due to diplomatic tensions. So, if seeing a live panda is on your bucket list, better hustle while an international flight isn't required. 🐼

Pangolins are the second most trafficked animals in the world, not the first. Humans are trafficked far more often than pangolins are. Humans trafficked 120,000 yearly worldwide, 30,000 pangolins per year worldwide on average. And yes Humans trafficked has a category called "exotics" which includes: Asians, Polynesian, First Nation.
@Supayone

Human trafficking is older then planes and trains by thousands of years. They are not exotic be definition( very different, strange, or unusual. exotic colors/flavors.), they might put that there for whatever reason like they could claim to be a god like the Egyptians but doesn't make it real.
