good and interesting points. #19: if you've to fight, when on an under-cover-operation something went wrong... #15: a.f.a.i.k. the black ninja uniform has its origin in theater, when deressed in black means: 'this character is invisible'... #9: there are only few reports od assassinations by ninja - or they were so good, that it mostly looked like an accident...? #1: that's often the case, Realitiy is mostly more interesting than Fiction (to me at least)

Keep in mind that much information that was given to a ninja back then was done verbally. So we can't exactly KNOW EVERYTHING about them. :) pretty cool video btw. I've always loved japanese history and culture.

I think this, more modern, more historically accurate version of the ninja might still be wrong. The latest thinking is that they were more CIA than Seal team 6. I don't know how true this is but some are saying that ninjas weren't warriors at all. They didn't use swords or weapons of any kind. They were more all about moving information. They were spies. If I'm wrong about this please tell me the evidence because I love ninjas as much as anyone.

Ninjas not only wore white and dark blue, they also wore brighter colors like reds and greens. A ninja wasn't a shadow walker. They did do night missions with dark blues and white but they also did day missions where they would wear common colors and common Japanese clothes of the time. Also masks were very popular in the time of the ninja. They may have been something like cats or other animal masks, not really black masks like are portrayed.

The surikin does have a historical connection to the ninja, when in enemy territory they made those kind of make shift weapons as they were usually under cover as farmers.
@voltgaming22134 жыл бұрын
It has but on later period ninjas were mercenaries and assiannators more than fighters it was sometimes used by them to cut ropes and normal things but later its comes more uses full at disabling enemies rather than fighting
@Shadowman93482 жыл бұрын
Yes they were connected to ninja...however the history is way off - the shuriken was originally a huge iron star used by the mongols called the "falling star" which was hurled at enemies below on horseback - the Chinese adopted it and made a smaller version used by foot soldiers, assassins & mercenary types - in later centuries this weapon made its way to Japan where they were used by samurai & ashigaru, and yes even shinobi so yes they actually to have a historical connection...just not what you'd expect but still interesting.

From my reading, Ninja were often recruited from Ronin Samurai. Samurai of a defeated Master, were often cast into the Ronin class, by a Victorious Samurai Lord or Clan Leader. The Victorious Samurai Lord, could either accept all or some of the defeated samurai, or cast them out into the Ronin class. Ronin often became Ninja, to support their families, for unlike a Samurai, a Ronin Warrior received no financial assistance nor regular payment...Thus became Ninja to support their families. A Ninja could one week be assisting a Samurai Lord, and the next, be contracted to kill this same Lord. Ninja were respected for their individual bravery, yet equally Loathed and Feared by all casts or levels of Japanese society. As I say, this is what I understand of the Ninja Warrior, through the books I have read, but I may be wrong.

@MythicGuitarCompany8 жыл бұрын
jbee02 yah... and the funny thing is, todays military special forces and their teachings were invented at the same time "ninjutsu" was invented... in the early 50s. but the concept of special forces goes back thousands of years. even the "300" were special ops. they were the 300 best of the best of the best spartans. all spartans were insanely efficient killing machines, but the best of the best became the 300. they could fight for a week straight without eating or sleeping, could take down 6 to 10 opponents at a time single handedly, etc. and even they, weren't the first spec ops. Mesopotamians had assassins, and even some before that.

@johnongolla60425 жыл бұрын
Your list contradicts itself.If the ninja and samurai were part of the same team then things associated with both should not be viewed as false .Then also since we have some manuscripts that are secret then claiming that some depictions were false is a untrue because it is unknown.Lastly ninja are humans so to claim that samurai and ninja didnt have misunderstandings is vague because we are limited by the manuscripts in current times the navy ,marines and airforce have feelings towards each other but are part of the same team

I found this video very wrong. A lot of these facts he has are wrong actually. I advise you do even more digging in this matter. I think you'll be surprised at what you find and enjoy it.

Actually no,. These facts are supported and provided by the man he named; Antony Cummins. I suggest you look him up cuz he's like the most educated about the subject to this day.
@danielkennington838 жыл бұрын
The man the video was referring to real shinobi scrolls from the medieval period. What are you talking about research. Research other than scrolls written by real ninja 🤔. ??????????? How many ninja scrolls have you read?
@hanzohattori67168 жыл бұрын
I forgot his name, I think he's named "stephen turnboll" or something like that. And he has had the "real facts" about ninjas for decades. But even he has surrendered to the research antony cummins has done. Even the bujinkan has given up and said Antony is riight.

Absolutely everything u said about the ninja is wrong! Don't worry my ninjas... Everything that made the ninja cool is true!
@hanzohattori67168 жыл бұрын
He's not wrong. Search for Antony Cummins for more info if you're interested in shinobi for real and not just "put-your-fingers-in-your-ears-and not-listen-to-facts-kid". cheers
