I just wanted to say thank you. Your stretches are comforting, explained well, and are a great sequence I haven't seen on other channels. Also, as a woman going through infertility, I really appreciate your outfit choices. You look lovely and allow me to focus on the stretching instead of comparing myself to toned abs and tiny waistlines. I started coming here over and over because, I found myself feeling worse about myself after watching other instructors and in the midst of infertility, that is the last thing you need. Your smile is contagious! Thank you so much!

Hi Kendra, I love your videos and your calming personality. I am currently into my first week of stimming. Is it save to downward facing dog and the hip circles during this time? Thanks so much, Busybee xo
@LiveFertile Жыл бұрын
Good question. Not a super straightforward answer. Early on in stimming (before days 6-8), most people aren't experiencing much discomfort or growth/ swelling in the lower abdomen so most yoga poses are still comfortable and safe. After around day 6, people might start to experience more fullness in their lower abdomen. At that point, I generally recommend avoiding inversions (except legs up the wall) or deep twists. Though I might make exceptions if down dog or a standing forward fold is held for just a moment as a transition. But everyone is unique and will have different experiences with stimming. I tend to recommend trusting your body above all else. If something feels unsafe or uncomfortable, heed that. I will always defer to what a person's innate wisdom, body cues, and providers recommend (especially if I'm not working with them one-on-one and can't ask more questions.) And it never hurts to be cautious and gentle. Hope that helps.

Hi Kendra! Can you let me know how does yoga help with egg quality?
@LiveFertile2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jennifer! I can't speak for all forms of yoga or all yoga sequences, but I can tell you a little about my thought process and intention when I created this sequence. From a Western physiological lens, yoga can dampen inflammation, improve insulin sensitivity, protect against and possibly reverse the effects of oxidative damage, and increase circulation to and from the reproductive organs. And for those with PCOS, yoga can improve hormonal disturbances associated with poor egg quality. All of which supports egg quality/ cellular health. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine lens, I chose poses that stimulate the areas of the body along the meridians of the organ system responsible for vitality, aging, gamete development, and reproductive health. I'm sure there's also a way in which Ayurveda would point to yoga building ojas which is important for egg development and reproductive health but that's not something I'm as familiar with as Western physiology and TCM. Definitely not a topic that can be covered succinctly in a comment but I tried. Be well!

I tried fertility yoga for the first time in life and right after few hours I got my periods ,after 21 days of my last periods ,is it ok or should I stop doing this further ,please answer waiting..lots of love

Hi there. There are a lot of questions I would have to ask you to get a better understanding of why your period has started earlier than expected. I'm thinking it's highly unlikely that this practice caused your period to start. That being said, you know your body far better than I do. If you believe this practice led to your period starting and that alarms you, choosing not to practice it further sounds like a good idea. And of course, always speak to your personal healthcare provider for personalized advice about your personal healthcare concerns. Be well!

can be done this exercise during ovulation? Its my second ovulation day, plz reply
@LiveFertile2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. It was created with the follicular phase in mind. If you're comfortable practicing it during other phases, feel free to. Also, I'm not exactly sure what you mean by it's your second ovulation day. Ovulation happens on a single day. Are you saying it's the second day after ovulation? I'd love to know what you meant. Be well!

Mam, I'm sufferingbfrom amennorhoea for the past six years could you please provide some yoga sequence for that
@LiveFertile2 жыл бұрын
Hi there! I'm planning to do a series to support people who have hypothalamic amenorrhea in the future. I don't know if that will be helpful for you specifically since not having periods/ irregular periods can be caused by a number of things (thyroid issues, under eating, overexercising, extreme stress, etc.). I hope you and your providers have been able to pinpoint what may be causing your amenorrhea so you can address the root cause. Best wishes!

Hello, Can I do this while on Stims?
@LiveFertile2 жыл бұрын
Good question. It was created with the follicular phase in mind, so it might be ok to do early on while stimming. After around day 6-ish, some of the poses might become less comfortable. Everyone is so different; it's hard to give a definitive answer. Ultimately, your body (and healthcare team) is your best guide.

I could see myself recommending this practice to a one-on-one client in the weeks leading up to the IUI procedure. If you're unsure if it's right for you, check with your provider. Be well!

Hi Soniya. I'm happy you found my channel. Feel free to explore any of the fertility yoga videos that interest you and that work for the amount of time you have in your schedule. They're all designed to support people who are trying to conceive. I really wouldn't say there's a best one for you (at least not without knowing a lot more about your health and history.) I'm wishing you all the best.

For the twist part, are we supposed to keep our back flat on the floor or lift it off?
@LiveFertile3 ай бұрын
Hi there! I created this video over three years ago so I can’t recall off the top of my head which pose you’re referring to. But I can say that my general approach to yoga is that there are no shoulds or supposed tos. We’re all so different and each of our bodies are different from day to day. I often encourage people to try poses in different ways and decide for themselves which variation they prefer. This is already such a long reply but one more thing, I’d have to ask you more questions to understand which part of your back you’re referring to and how far off the ground you mean. I love being able to share these videos but there are definitely limits to how much guidance I can provide via KZbin. Best wishes!
@winggoddess3 ай бұрын
@@LiveFertilethe twist part is 22:32. Wasnt sure whether the back should stay on the floor or turn in the direction the bent leg is going, which makes the back come off the floor.
@LiveFertile3 ай бұрын
@winggoddess lots of ways you could explore and see what feels best to you. Again, no right, wrong, should, or supposed to, just different. Notice what happens/ how it feels when you allow your leg to only go as far as it can go with your back remaining in contact with the ground. Notice what happens/ what you feel when you twist to the point that your back lifts. You get to decide which version you want to practice.

Can one do this during the stim phase while take drugs and injections before egg retrieval?
@LiveFertile2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, I didn’t create this practice with stimming in mind. After around stim day 6, some of the poses (downward facing dog, bridge with moving hips, and the twists) in this practice might not be the most comfortable or safest options, but everyone is different. Ultimately though, your body and your medical team are your best guides. If you want to be especially cautious, some of the general fertility practices might be a better choice. I’ll work on an IVF series soon! Best wishes!
