My mother’s name was Mary and my mom’s meatloaf is tried and true. Very simple to make and we use onion soup mix, 1 egg, bread crumbs, 2 tbsps of garlic and only ketchup on top.

I made the very first one and it was the bomb! I usually stir and fuss too much but I followed your directions - med high heat, put the lid on and I went and watched TV for the full 15 minutes without looking. Then turned and did again without touching it. The smells from the kitchen - OMG - and I got crispity crunchy bits and melted the cheese in - Thank you so much for this, it is amazing!
