I love your recipes and I wanna get this grill but with my husband being so ill (I would appreciate your prayers) we're on S.S. and after 45 years of marriage we have to limit what we can buy but I think we really enjoy this grill since he can't get out anymore. I was born in 1942 and married in 1962. My mother gave me a Betty Crocker cookbook when I got married. I still have it and use it. It is copyright 1961. The chicken Ala king recipe was the first recipes I mastered and I still make it. The recipe is similar to the one you made except only one cup of broth and one cup of milk or cream, and the thickness is just right. I add some frozen peas, and I usually serve it over rice. A good portion of my childhood was in the 50's and it was a good time to grow up. ❤

My favorite recipe you’ve made recently was the Italian Sub Wrap. At first, I added too much mayo (I found I like just a enough to thinly coat everything), so I ended up chopping a bunch more meat and veggies. Now I had a lot for just 1 person! I grew a little bit tired of wraps, so got the bright idea of making a pasta salad with the rest of my filling. I had some bow tie pasta on hand, so boiled it up and added the filling after it cooled. Wow! It’s now my favorite all time pasta salad! Would be great to take to a cookout or potluck. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Mandy, I love your videos, especially these best-of collections. When I make my quesadillas, I use the big burrito-size tortillas and fold them in half. I fill one half of it and fold the other half over top of the filling. When it's time to flip it, I just turn it over along the fold and continue browning the other side. That way I don't have to risk flipping it in mid-air like a flapjack and possibly splatter the filling or oil all over myself or the stove. In fact, tonight I'm planning to make some shrimp & scallop quesadillas (with lots of cheese) for dinner. They are devine.

I grew up in the 60s with my mom making Carrot and Raisin Salad and loved it then and now !! She did the Carrots fine though and that makes a difference and we used Miracle Whip only and I dont remember her using lemon. We never used Mayo in our house ! She also made the dip and that was the only dip we ate until we were older and all the different dips came out ! We loved the dip too !! We never had the Casserole, our Southern Cooking was more meat, starch, veggies !!! My mom was a prize winning cook. Her food was always gone first at our Church Potlucks !! Love your videos !!

Hey Mandy just wanted to let you know my trick for shredding chicken. So I just put it in the it in the instapot longer than usual. I actually put mine with either chicken broth and water, or pepperonis peepers juice. You might disagree but I put it for an hour and all you have to do is stir with a fork.. Shred’s so nicely… we add taco seasoning or make them into green sauce enchiladas. We like Either Las Palma’s or La Victoria green sauce.. Anyway love your channel I live in Washington state❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

8:30 In my family, we use the Ulu (Uluaq) knife. My Aunt lives in Alaska and my grandma got one. The Ulu is “The woman’s knife” and has a history in Alaskan native Inuit culture going back 3,500 to 5,000 years. The knife was primarily used by Inuit women for skinning and cleaning fish. But the knife is really versatile for cutting meat and dicing vegetables. I use it for nearly everything, it’s so awesome and the history of it is so cool.
