Here's an amazing fact, to do with "Carrie" (1976). "Carrie" is iconic in every respect, from its begining to its end. The tragic story of an abused outcast teenager with telekinesis taking revenge on her high school prom struck a major cord with viewers, but director Brian De Palma had one final trick up his sleeve to terrify even Stephen King himself. To film Sue Snell's nightmare scene, actress Amy Irving walked and moved backwards, and reverse motion was used to give the illusion of her walking forwards. When Carrie grabs Sue's arm, that really was Sissy Spacek buried under the stones. Even with the book it was based on being a best seller, Stephen King was doubtful that the film would work, and only gained his confidence when he and his wife attended a screening with a completely black audience. Two men sat in front of them screamed their lungs out and grabbed each other at the ending.

There's an often forgotten or overlooked fact about CARRIE. In all three versions, Carrietta White was portrayed by small women- Sissy Spacek, Angela Bettis, and Chloe Grace Moretz-and all three women were great in the role. However, the character, as written in the novel, was actually overweight.

King's wife also saved Carrie when it was just a book too. King thought the story was no good so he threw away the first couple chapters. His wife found it, read it, and told Stephen he needed to finish it because she needed to know how it ended. He has his wife to thank for his career making first story

The Crow: The most iconic scene: the first look at The Crow makeup in the window with lightning... was not Brandon Lee. Early CGI took the face from an unused scene to paste on the body double. That body double fell in love with fight choreography while filming scenes to make-up for the tragic loss of Brandon Lee. He fell so in love with it, he went on to study film making and directed a little film series called... John Wick.

This is a tearjerker. During the filming of The Deer Hunter, the great John Cazale was dying of cancer. He tried to hide it from everyone. His girlfriend at the time, and aspiring actress named Meryl Streep, who did not yet have her SAG card, was living with him in his trailer and taking care of him. The director Michael Cimino saw her and asked her if she would like to be in the movie. So they got her her SAG card... Imagine the body of work if John Cazale had lived longer. I hope nobody else already wrote about this, but I just can't read anymore comments in order to double check!

_Silence of the Lambs_ was on of the most unsettling films I have ever seen. 7:55, also, the iconic line that Hannibal utters in the movie, talking about his dinner; it wasn’t just for naught. It was a subtle hint to Clarisse that he was either off his medication, or misusing it, as well as a minor joke to himself. Allow me to explain: Liver, fava beans, and wines, especially Red Ones; are foods to be avoided if one is on MAOIs, due to the presence of Tyramine. The Tyramine in the foods can trigger serious side effects when consumed with MAOIs.

I would have to agree re: UP. The first 1/2 hr is extraordinary . It’s visually stunning, the storytelling without a single line of dialogue about the old man’s relationship with his wife is both beautiful and tragic, but tasteful in every way and the music is exquisite. I did find that I was easily distracted once the house landed, and had a hard time following the story from there on. However, the relationship between the old man and the boy is charming and very well performed. Overall, the movie is well worth watching.

In Martin Scorsese's iconic 1976 dark drama Taxi Driver, Iris (Jodie Foster) is walking with another woman played by Garth Avery who was a New York prostitute that Foster shadowed to help her with the development of her character. The later scene where Iris meets Travis finds her ordering toast with jam and adding sugar to her meal. Some viewers believed this was done because Iris was still a child and loved sugar, but Foster noted that Avery, who was addicted to heroin, did this as part of her addiction and Foster incorporated it with her character.

The only Quentin Tarantino film I kinda like is Kill Bill, and the episode he did for CSI Las Vagas I couldn't watch, and I never will. In that episode, or is it 2 episodes, anyway, it covers one of my biggest fears, buried alive, others are being caught in a fire, I'm not a fan of heights, I'm ok when I'm in a building or on a plane but I'm never going to put on a parachute to jump out of a plane for "FUN" well unless the plane is on fire then I'll race you to the door, and I'd win, even though I'm disabled and use a crutch for walking😊😂 I've just realised I have a lot more "fears" than I realised, so I'll stop now.

I stumbled upon your videos not long ago. I love the 25 Facts videos. I'm sure since I've just found them I'm behind that's OK it just means I won't run out of them soon. I am watching Mind Blowing Movie Facts. I have to agree with you on a few of them. Quentin Tarantino is a rather odd person I've only seen a few of his movies. I'm sure I'm going to upset a few people on this one. Pulp Fiction was a rather strange one. I'm my opinion this is how I seen it. The beginning of the movie was the end, the end was the beginning, and the middle had nothing to do with it. That's how I feel about it. Here's one fun fact for you that you might find funny. You talk about the movie Up. Well in there all the dog named Dog says Squirrel and look around. A few yrs ago I found a stray or Abandoned dog. Not sure if he's a German Shepherd Husky mix or a Husky wolf mix or a German Shepherd wolf mix anyways while looking for his owner I put an ad out about a found dog. I even wrote some of it like it was coming from him to his family. Every once in a while I would put the word Squirrel or make a reference about Squirrels. Sadly his family never came to clam him and he became part of my life. When trying to find a name for him that fit. He/me got online and asked what a good name for him would b. Everyone hands down voted for the name Squirrel. Like I had thought a dog would say how they do in the movie up and that's what they might think of. Ok sorry for talking so long I just thought it was funny that youd talk about that movie. Keep doing what your doing its awesome and very interesting

It was not a radio active spider in that movie. It was a genetically altered spider.

How about the fact that James Hetfield was offered the part of Wolverine for the first X-Men movie? Or the fact that when he turned it down, they modeled the live action Sabertooth after James' look in the 80s-early 90s

Up is by far my favorite Pixar movie. From start to finish. When Russell gets stranded on the porch, I nearly wet myself 🤣🤣🤣 in the theater. When Dug the talking dog sees the squirrel, it happened again.

I don't like Quentin Tarantino movies either. I know people say not to criticize something until you try it, but upon seeing the trailers, I can confidently say that they are absolutely not my cup of tea. And you can keep horror movies, too, thank you. Love this channel, Mike!

In the exorcist movie the “serial killer” only murdered one man… the other men were pinned on him because the guy he killed was gay and there was an actual serial killer going around killing and dismembering them, throwing them in the river. The man he killed was more out of passion and was not dismembered. Either way he did kill a gay man but only one.
