Suggestion for barrels: collect rain water for garden, veggie garden. Possibly connect to drip irrigation system. Real Algarve Living is good suggestion for flat roof water proofing. Very good luck to you two and thank you for your videos. 🌻

One tip Michael when emptying a Vac filter bag always make sure wind is behind you 😁. Not sure what to do with blue barrels ? But would hate to throw them away. On outside stairs have you thought about where or if fitting handrails ? . I built a single bed frame out of timber 30 years ago intended as a stop gap until I had more cash 🤔 it’s still in spare room and used few times a year 😂, good progress Michael and Ofc always hard work clearing and digging , take care see ya next time 👌🏻.

If you are sure that the barrels have only held human-friendly things (eg not chemicals) you could cut them in half and grow plants in them. Great for wicking beds

if i may suggest that you consider starting stairs at the front wall of the building, then you will have a longer top walk (roof)to the entry at the roof deck. The result is a larger storage area below. I hope this makes sense. also Soil/Debris Management take the time to haul the soil off as you dig to a low area or stockpile area. so you don't have to move it twice. good content I like the bedroom and think that your making steady progress . keep up the good work

My only comment would be to try and work on one project at a time. I have concerns that the roof of the out houses will require a different type of water prooping applied. There are sealed rubber membranes that can be glued into place. Then covered with metal or would products, depending on your long term plans for the roof area. All the best.

I prefer to have several jobs on the go at once, it allows me to reflect on what I am doing and not rush it. I see how it might come across as a bit of a disjointed process! Thanks!

Cld u hire a small back hoe for half day to dig out French drain beside the wall to avoid any ingress issues? I believe they can come with an appropriate width bucket. Might be easier long term on the damp issues to stop them from the outside?? But just my opinion. Not really experienced in these matters apart from watching several KZbinrs deal with same. Good luck. Cld paint the buckets and use as planters if cleaned out of any chemicals.

Seu teto rachou porque não foi feito no mesmo dia . Lajes não tem emenda de um dia pro outro. Pra solucionar o vazamento use uma manta asfáltica e aplique com um maçarico ou tocha de fogo .

Wood is very expensive here where I live in CA, USA. I probably would’ve just bought a metal bed frame at second hand store or something. The wood bed is nice but I think too big for the space. I’m not sure why it needed to be fixed to the wall. I like to be able to move my bed around to clean underneath. Sorry, just my thoughts. A wood headboard will be very nice once stained or oiled. What type of wood is it your working with? There’s a channel I watch called, Raising Voyagers. They’re working on a old stone house in Italy. They made a concrete staircase to a terrace as well. Even though they had help I saw another KZbinr do the same all on her own. You might to watch and see if it’s something feasible for you as well. The other channel is Martina’s Life. You know have some time to see which is the best way since you need to plan the plumbing as well. I wish you luck on your projects. I’ll be here continuing to watch your progress.😊

Thanks for the comment, you make some really good points! I think I'll leave some of the bed slats loose so I can remove them to vacuum under the bed. The wood is pine. I'll check out the other channels!
