Also, you missed the "most haunted house in America" - a plantation in St. Francisville, LA called The Myrtles (for all the crape myrtle trees) where the owner's slave mistress was afraid of losing her position in the house and so decided to make the children sick in order to affect a "miracle cure" on them. However, she poisoned the cake she baked just a little too much, and the children all died. The property is haunted by her and the children. It is now a B&B so go check it out.

For the Winchester house, on the tour all the tour guides will say that the ones killed by Winchester don't haunt it. However there is one ghost that is in the basement, and he is a coal worker than will just shovel coal and go down a long hallway with his barrel. I would like to think that the all of the negative energy of the axe guy was so strong and when he died, his spirit must've gone back to the house.
