For Bolt and Grab is it like Uber and Lyft where you have your credit card, debit card, or PayPal info on file to pay them and never have to use cash?

Cal, I have a question for you I am going to Thailand in a few day. We would like to do Grand Pearl Dinner Cruise. I contacted company directly to book dinner on the upper deck. They confirmed send me a link for payment. It is Ksher Link Payment. I don’t know what it is, never heard about it in US. Do you know anything 0:32 about such payment in Thailand? Thank you
@thebangkokguideАй бұрын
I’m not familiar with the payment… but you should be okay to book when you arrive. It might be easier! You can also use Klook to book many cruises and events. They have a built in payment system.

Hey cal ! Hope you are doing good .. Me and 3of my friends like to have 3days trip in bangkok and our plan is to get Pattaya.. can you suggest some inexpensive stay and comfort travel for 4days .. it will be helpful for us if you can guide
@thebangkokguide24 күн бұрын
Bangkok is a big city! If traveling with friends you probably want to stay in Lower Sukhumvit or Khaosan (but not on Khaosan). Lots of hotels. Depends on budget as well. To get to Pattaya I'd recommend just booking a car on Grab or Bolt, as it's about $30 and with 4 friends that's ideal. Enjoy your trip!

Hey Cal I like your insights. Any advice for dating for a serious relationship (not holiday gf) in Bkk? I’ve had a long term relationship with a great Thai woman but didn’t work out and find it hard to meet someone with the basic qualities I think are important.
@thebangkokguide6 ай бұрын
I could definitely make a whole video on that one. Avoid the bars or anything in the nightlife. Thailand is like two different worlds… date women that work at normal office jobs; lawyers, doctors… it’s an entirely different world. I’ll try to cover this in a video.
@JeffreyN-m9k6 ай бұрын
@@thebangkokguide I totally agree. I have never been to Pattaya and am not interested in women in the bar scene (I’m not judging them it’s just not what I’m looking for). I’ve been very fortunate in who I’ve met but it’s not been easy.

Very comprehensive, thank you.😊 Btw, is Klook good to buy tickets for the famous Thai boxing at a reasonable price? Also, do you know why LINE is popular in Thailand vs. Whatsapp? Japan influence? Just curious.
@thebangkokguide6 ай бұрын
I think Line just caught on here… that’s an interesting question and now I’m curious too 😂 For Thai boxing, I recommend you check the price on Klook for any event and then just compare it with the listed price on the website. This is what I normally do!

Thanks Cal for the Video, well put together. Regarding google reviews, it seems to be illegal to leave bad reviews in Thailand, how much weight would you say I put into a google review when considering a product or service?
@thebangkokguide6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. Defamation laws are definitely strict in Thailand but I find that reviews on Google are generally reasonably accurate, and you will find plenty of negative reviews. I’m not sure how they are bypassing the defamation issue but both Google and Reddit have much more accurate reviews than many popular hotel or booking sites.
@zickzack9876 ай бұрын
@@josebova It is about defamation, not bad reviews.

Is it hard to rent an apartment that accepts pets in Bangkok ?

True Money - that's the one you need for 7-eleven, right? Do you need to have any other True service connected to it or can it be used strictly as a payment app if you top it up or connect a card or K+ to it?
@zickzack9876 ай бұрын
@@stormstereo I use it for payment only. 99 % 7-11. You can top up or connect several payment methods like debit/credit card or bank account. If I could use my banking app in 7-11 too I would not use True Money.

There is no need to defraud you of your money in the United States, it is directly robbed. Thailand is much safer than the United States. You don’t have to worry about being robbed or stolen while walking outside.
