@BlackKnightsCommander9 жыл бұрын
+Andreas Harices There's only a few species that can be reborn. Sponges, some plants, starfish and some other animals can reproduce asexually, and if harmed in a way that rips enough of it away the pieces or leftovers can grow back to a full organism. There's also a kinda famous type of jellyfish that can go back to the hydra (premature) form if injured, allowing it to be reborn indefinitely.

I’m an equestrian and Equine Studies major and really appreciated what you said about domestic herbivores being dangerous. Way too many people don’t realise how much damage horses can do to people. I’ve heard stories of parents allowing their kids to pet or even sit on random horses without the owner’s consent, and last year my mom tried to pet the wrong horse (he was showing signs of anger/aggression, but she didn’t know that). She had a thick winter coat on and the bite still left a gigantic, dark purple and red bruise. People NEED to realize just how dangerous domestic animals can be!

#16...... Voltage isn't dangerous in the same way Amperage is. Granted, you are right, don't work on anything electrical unless you know what you are doing, but 120v isn't dangerous on its own. Now, 120v at 8mA WILL kill you. You need to know more than just the voltage to determine if its dangerous or now.
@lillianwalling95398 жыл бұрын
Exactly. In another comment thread (started by myself) There are people arguing that Its voltage that kills, or a combination of both. If it were, I'd be really dead right now. Playing with Tesla coils I've exceeded 1000000 volts, but the current is really low. Of course subjecting yourself to any amount of electricity (voltage or current) is a bad idea as it can have negative effects over the long term, but high voltage won't kill you.
@quijybojanklebits87508 жыл бұрын
true but a heart condition is the deciding factor
@lillianwalling95398 жыл бұрын
Heart condition doesn't matter, If the Current is extremely low. Of course a heart condition might change the limit, but by a negligible amount. The voltage does nothing to you that will kill you.
@Lukemage8 жыл бұрын
Quijybo Janklebits A heart condition is irrelevant, as it is the electrical impulses from the brain to the heart that are disrupted by the amperage, stopping the heart in the process. A heart condition would neither increase, nor decrease, your vulnerability to the current. A Pacemaker might, and that is a very hazy might, increase your resistance, but by a negligible amount. Still not something to mess with, as 8mA isn't all that much, and the higher the Amperage, the greater the impact it has on your cellular structure.

its actuly the mix of both
@jordanpeer99798 жыл бұрын
No, not really. You may have found a rare occurrence but it is most definitely the amperage that kills.
@lillianwalling95398 жыл бұрын
When the current is low, it isn't dangerous at all. It can be dangerous if you are an idiot who is for some reason subjecting them self to any electrical current for an extended period of time. It's actually usually more dangerous when the voltage is low, because (generally) when the voltage is low the current Is higher. Not always, but often. Either way, low current isn't very dangerous at all.
@awesomejr18 жыл бұрын
+cedrik pomerleau actually it's not a mix of both. amperage is a watts divided by volts. You can be shocked with any amount of watts and/or volts. If the amps is between .1 and .2 you can be killed. A shock over .2 amps isn't considered lethal however (as long as there's a defibrillator nearby) since the shock is strong enough to stop the heart before there's any damage to the tissue.
@lillianwalling95398 жыл бұрын
There are multiple formulas used to determine the voltage, resistance, current, and power of a circuit/wire. These are: P=I*E, E=P/I, I=P/E, E=I*R, I=E/R, and R=E/I Where P=Power(Watts), I=Current(Amps(Normally measured in miliamps)), E=Voltage(Volts), and R=Resistance(Ohms). When using a device such as a Tesla Coil or similar device, you can cause the voltage to become extremely high, without causing the current to go up. If it were a mix of both, I would be dead from the extreme voltage I've experienced, and so would anyone else who has used a powerful enough Tesla coil. Trust me, It's the current that kills.

Number 21 is so right. I don't know what ever became of the situation, but I once had a girlfriend who was terrified of the dentist but had a tooth issue. One night she disappeared while texting me and I didn't think anything of it; maybe she was busy, taking care of her daughter, in the shower, anything. She finally texted me back saying she literally passed out from the pain of her toothache. She still didn't get it checked out, even with me trying to push her to see someone about it. This was only a little over a year ago, but I hope she did get it looked at.
@user-vm5ud4xw6n Жыл бұрын
She must have the constitution of an ox if she can pass out from pain and still refuse help. If she had an infection the germs in the infection could travel to her heart and that would be the end of her. I have to take antibiotics when I go to the dentist because I have a stent in. If germs from having my teeth cleaned got into my system, the first place they travel to is the heart. Oh yeah, and my knee replacement. FYI not all dentists make you stay on antibiotics past the 6 mos mark.

I can speak for the "leaving a toothache untreated". A broken tooth I used to have got infected. I did went to the dentist as soon as it started to hurt, but the infection spread really quickly through half of my face a week before my appointment to get the tooth extracted. I went to the hospital and they told me I'm in serious trouble. I had to wear a machine that injects me antibiotics every hour for 4 days. I seriously could've died.
@kathleengivant-taylor22772 жыл бұрын
Dental care needs too be covered like medical care as there are lots of people that can’t afford dental care and can seriously die from dental infection as u said. I had one case that was almost too that point but thankfully I got to dentist that left me make payments on the extraction as he knew it was very serious. Affected the whole side of the face the tooth was on and required two rounds of antibiotics too kill Infection. Scary

So you already knew that you shouldn't pop zits in the "danger triangle" of your face and you already knew how to safely pet a dog?
@fabian19398 жыл бұрын
Wyatt Barrett Yes, although, the popping zits thing is a hilarious exxageration and still a matter of controversy as the newest report of a death caused by this, is from 1922 and not 100% reliable. How to safely pet a dog was tought to me by my parents as soon as I was able to pet a dog. I mean, come on, everyone meets dogs nearly everyday. one gotta know how to deal with them. who wouldn't teach their children on this matter?

RW2996 What I was talking about is that people complained about the old format still being there when the new one was first introduced and now you complain about the new format not fitting your taste. Of course everyone has their own opinion but it just seems like no matter what they do there will always be some people complaining in the comments.

@michaelyork47868 жыл бұрын
***** . I'm not saying that it causes autism, but it does make people sick. It has mercury and lead in the flu vaccine. I have known people who take it every year, and straightaway take the flu every time. I've never had a flu shot and I'm as healthy as a horse. I may get a runny nose once in a while, but I almost never throw up.

I drive 90 miles per day, Monday to Thursday. Add in the other drives I do and it's over 400 miles per week. I'm going to college to get a journalism degree... ...to be a car reviewer. Driving may be dangerous, but it's going to be the cornerstone of my career. At least I have a car with excellent crash test ratings (2011 Honda accord Sedan) and never text and drive, and haven't had a ticket or even a fender bender since I got my license on July 30, 2012. I better knock on some wood. August 26, 2016 4:36 am

I'm 57 now, but when I was 12, I experimented to see how long I could stay awake. I made it to 3 days, but I could barely see or hear anything but the blood rushing through my head. Everything around me looked like a thick gray fog, until I was about 6 inches from it. That third day was a Friday, so I spent about 15 hours asleep afterwards. I am NEVER doing that again.

Thanks for making me feel smart instead of paranoid. Also, the reason for not taking Tylenol or acetaminophen while drying is that it causes liver failure. Also, read your bottle ingredients so that you don’t accidentally double dose. Like taking NyQuil and other cold meds together or in a short span of time. Always allow 4-6 hours between doses. Sometimes 8. Read the labels!!

If you must sit, get up and walk around every 20 minutes. It helps to relieve blood clots. If you are in school and they would object to you getting up, get a doctor's note on it. Doctors have huge power with these issues.

That bit about the tooth infection is absolutely true. The biggest problem is that an infection is so close to your brain, and has open conduit. There was a popular actor can’t remember his name, who died from this very thing. In his 20’s.
