In really hard wind you could double pole, that would only add about 315 gram, and make the tent stronger and also a bit more quiet inside.

great pitch Andy, had a MSR reactor that I sold and I must admit I do regret as it boiled water soooo fast but it was a pain to light in windy conditions. That tent look brilliant, maybe 2024 will be the year I replace my old TN Solar. Need to get over to the peaks, get out of my comfort zone. Thanks for sharing alway enjoy your uploads.

I have just returned from peaks, walked from glossop to crash site then alport castles, then kinder scout. Was descending kinder scout in the dark. It was an intense trip. Lol. Btw sawyer filter totally failed me again and i m trashing them. They r good on paper. I done tonnes of research and tried many things. Restored flow with hot vinegar bath, just to fail on a first attempt to filter water in peaks.

I barely find the need for a water filter. I use tablets, and sometimes as a prefilter gsi plastic coffee mesh bag. Or aquarium bag with very fine mesh. Or expandable little towels. I have no idea what s the problem with Sawyer bcs I was able to restore the flow. Maybe they r not for UK hard water

What's that Sierra design backpack like Andy ? Does it keep the weight off your shoulders? Reason I day that is I've got a 7 day multi day hike in June to do and I usually use my osprey Atmos 50 but it hurts my shoulders and is heavy to start with so been looking at the sierra designs one . Have you got a review of that in your playlists? Cheers

Most people don’t realise that alcohol is a poison. It damages the brain and especially the liver which has to filter and neutralise all the stuff we put into ourselves. Best to leave it alone completely or just occasionally as a ‘reward’ drink, as I do, for having completed some special adventure.

@@BackpackingUK Wasn't serious, had one myself, great tent. Now using the Anjan 2 for 3 season use and Akto/Soulo BL for 4. Made mistakes myself such as having the Akto ripped out of the ground once after pitched it in long grass in a storm. A gust shot in the door after fixing a corner guyline that had come undone. The peg had come out due to the tent being pitched in long grass, the grass pulling the guyline up and peg out.
