@@butters3938 He is, and always has been, a Java Redstoner. Redstone in Bedrock has unpredictable results in a couple of situations, especially dealing with pistons, so he and most other redstoners don't use it. Buy Java if you want to play with advanced redstone.

I've always wanted to build a base where you have a cool secret entrance door, yes, but you can also flick a switch to transform a whole section of cliff, having pistons open up windows and sunroofs, maybe reveal some cool artwork, decorative features etc. Or just have the base lock down at night and be fully secure but awaken each day when it's safe

The very first time I wanted to make a 2x2 flush hidden door was back in like 2010 or 2011...it took up So. Much. Room. You had to power the bottom pistons separately from the top ones and time them all just right...I'm sure glad that they changed it! It's much easier to do and to remember now.

Were you using Bedrock (console/ pocket edition)? I built a 2x2 flush this week on my phone and you still have to power the bottom separately. The design shown in the video only works on Java edition.

Parry Home Yeah I’m currently working on a big house which has a backyard in the back and has this stone shed which has two iron doors opened by using pressure plates. The thing is, all you find is a two by two area with more pressure plates on the first row and water in the back row. Well, this water leads down into my secret ACTUAL base. The big house is actually just a front. Pretty genius if you ask me. And it takes less than ten seconds to get down and back up, so that’s great too. Eventually, I’m gonna make one of those key doors that Mumbo made and have it be chain boots enchanted with Frost Walker II. Very specific item and very hard to find and then enchant. Well, I’d connect this to a hall from the house leading to the shed and only those with the insanely complex key can access the shed. But for now, it’s just a shed with no house. I’m working on the house though.

I combined the pretentious entrance (item trigger hidden behind the picture), modified with a dropper to return any items thrown in, a hopper-comparator based delay, as well as the tiny hidden staircase, built in a natural villager house next to a hill to make an awesome hidden base entrance. Super awesome combination, loved trying them out; they blend in exquisitely!
