Don't leave your phone overnight...it kills your battery in the long run.

Perhaps on some phones, but Apple has new technology that learns your sleep schedule so it charges slowly over the night and doesn't get to 100% very quickly. It's called optimized battery charging if you want to learn more. It helps to not kill batteries thankfully! But, I agree with you, some devices this does happen to and be sure to unplug it once it's charged!

I love my dehumidifier as a British person. I air dry my laundry inside and constantly run my dehumidifier. I empty my tank twice a day and I always use the water to water plants, my compost bin or to rinse off messes outside

dehumidifiers are the best!

@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist they’re so useful. I’m saving to get a bigger capacity one which is also an air con and air purifier but it’s going to take a while

To add a tiny bit to the turning-off-lights one, I’ve also started not turning on lights when I go into a room just get something. My bedroom is super dark, no windows. But I know where everything is, and hopefully we don’t have a ton of clutter to rummage through. So why turn on the light?
@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist3 жыл бұрын
such a good one! I've been trying to implement that as well. It also prevents you from accidentally leaving it on when you leave the room haha. If I do need a light, I use my phone flashlight :)

The most economical cycle on your wash would be the cold water setting. Water is not normally cooled, it is almost always heated though.

In Canada, idling/warming up your car is a necessity in the wintertime. Your windshield can NOT be iced over, impairing visibility when you start driving. It is not only dangerous, it is against the law. He rest of 5(e tips are good though. Well done.

Awesome video! Tons of great ideas and a reminder to unplug my dang chargers😬 I'm so bad about that lol. One other way to live low waste is to reuse packaging. Especially from things you get in the mail! (Extra applicable right now) The amount of furniture and storage that's made out of cardboard boxes in my apartment is ridiculous 😅 and the poly bag mailers make fantastic trash bags!
