Quiznos did not die from competition, it died because the franchises did not keep up on sanitation. I LOVED Quiznos until I saw my local store pile paper supplies on the floor next to the bathroom doors. I tried again at a different location but it was just as unsanitary. They had the best sandwiches, Subway can't hold a candle to them. It was the lack of attention sanitation that chased me away.

I ate at Sambo's all through high school in L.A. 1974-77. They had the best coffee of any chain, and great bacon-waffles.

There have been so many fast food chains that are no longer around today and a lot of them have come and went here in Oklahoma over the years and most recently a few more have shut down here in the area of Oklahoma where I live.
