I worked 43 years AT the Snapper plant, one suggestion, if you make you fuel line a little longer you then can pull the tank OUT of the bracket & set beside the tire upright when you set the mower on the bumpers, this way it doesn't matter how full the tank is and less chance of the fuel flooding the engine

Good tip, thank you!

Too bad Snapper doesn't produce the Rear Engine Rider anymore. My granddad had an old mid 80s Snapper mower until the late 90s when he replaced it with a cheap Murray lawn tractor. My dad got to borrow the Snapper back in the 80s to mow his lawn before he bought his first mower in 1989. Those old Snappers are tough mowers.

@MarkMeadows90 agreed, so far mine has been doing great. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience!

42:38 The WHY you ask about in filling instructions of the differential is because when you SEE the "00" grease coming OUT of the bottom hole then when the mower is set level then the complete differential internal parts are sufficiently covered with the grease, some UNLEARNED or refuse to follow directions fill the case till the lube comes out of the top hole and in doing so that OVERFILLS the case

35:30 You DON'T use "gear oil" the rear end & chain case was NOT designed for "liquid" type lube, the tolerances are too wide even with NEW parts to keep "gear oil" inside, it WILL LEAK OUT and your internal parts will be destroyed.

what is the belt size? Great video!
@biblesbulliesbogies11437 ай бұрын
I believe the belt is 72.25" but it would be best to look up your stock number to ensure you're getting the correct size for your mower. Thanks for watching!

The part that the tire is screwed into, seems to be missing a plug at the end. All the grease was in the cap. Do i need to replace the triangular part replaced
@biblesbulliesbogies11438 ай бұрын
The cap should be covering a grease point, I don't believe there is another plug or cap.

@@biblesbulliesbogies1143 There is a good bit of misinformation on his channel, he treats all Snappers the same and they are NOT, that's why BEWARE of a channel that works on them that doesn't tell you the Model / Series that they are working on.

@@biblesbulliesbogies1143 Use ONLY "00" grease, that's what the mower was designed to us, the tolerances are too large with the mating parts of the differential case & primary chain case to use "Liquid Lube" , we ONLY used "00" at the factory in testing & the results were superb, the "liquids" RUN OFF the internal parts.
@biblesbulliesbogies11436 ай бұрын
Thank you, I used 00 grease.

FYI: If the differential case was dry, COMPLETELY EMPTY like for a rebuild, the factory states it should take 24 OZ. and for the Chain Case it requires 2 OZ Max
