Arthur was great in my opinion because it explored real issues kids dealt with such as bullying cancer death and peer pressure.

To answer your question, probably the same stuff that contributed to all those other good educational children's shows. As for the second part, it's hard to choose favorites, but there were quite a lot of episodes that I liked, both classic and modern.

I was 4 when this show came out. Being apart of the first generation of kids who grew up watching Arthur you realize how special it is. Loved reading the books too. Now I'm 29 and I still can't believe the shows journey is coming to an end. Arthur wasn't afraid to teach kids dark subjects in lfe such as bullying, cancer, and so on. And for that I'll always be grateful. All I can say now is I'll miss ya Arthur. Thanks for the life lessons and great memories buddy.

Oh Arthur... This was basically where it all started for me. Before I transitioned to watching Nickelodeon by the time I was 6-7 (and later, Cartoon Network), Arthur was my first favorite show. It was great at balancing life lessons and teachable moments with clever humor and a nice slice of life vibe. In a way, it was basically the appetizer in what made me love Hey Arnold, because they were very similar tonally, one was just targeted to a younger audience (fun fact: I once saw a meme of Arthur with a football shaped head that said Hey Arthur). What's weird though is that even after I had gotten older, those old Arthur episodes hold up surprisingly well. It being as memeable as it's become certainly helps with that, but really, the last time I watched a few episodes, I didn't feel like I was watching something too kiddy for me. And that's a big thing that I believe helped Arthur become as memorable and standout as it is. It's basically the only "preschool age" show people look back on as being substantial and enjoyable compared to other similar shows of its time.
@DialUpDigest3 жыл бұрын
Arthur was my first favorite show too 😊. I agree, Arthur was like Arnold just for younger kids. LOL, Hey Arthur, that's clever 😆 I completely agree, Arthur is one of few shows for "preschool age" kids that I can watch now and still find enjoyable.

I wasn't the biggest SpongeBob fan - I preferred Rugrats when the show came out. But, I am surprised the show is still running after all these years. @ikennakonkwo59393 жыл бұрын
I like your opinion on it. I’m still surprised that it’s still going on to. I thought it was cruel for them to keep seasons going when Steven Hellenberg rejected it, even after his death. I’m also surprised that it has reboots like the Patrick Star Show and Kamp Koral. I know the kids still love it, but they can keep watching the older seasons of it because it’s definitely been the nickelodeon nucleus for some time and it’s becoming over saturated now. It’s sad that there were some nick shows that aired in the 2000’s that kids still like, and some of them either didn’t air long or didn’t show on nickelodeon that much.
