Thank you Tracey. I have just re-watched this as I have become highly allergic to all resins including uv☹️. I love making jewellery and thought I wouldn’t be able to do much . This has helped immensely and sparked so me ideas. So I’ve ordered some eco pour . Thank you again .

I love Eco Pour. I made a necklace for my granddaughter & added a little bit of sky blue resin dye to the powder & swirled it. I came up magical & I put a coat of UV resin on it. You can use so many things with Eco Pour & get fantastic results. You did well with the flakes & chameleon lpowder, loved the results you got as well

Yes Eco Pour should be safe. I don't use other brands of casting powder much so I can't speak for those but Eco Pour doesn't seem to send powder flying around in the air either

Thanks Tracy. I wonder if the regular white glue (Elmer's?) would work as well, as it also dries clear? You'd have to watch it carefully to catch it while it's still tacky, but still... Worth a try maybe?
@lynneziregue268111 ай бұрын
Daniel Cooper is the best person to watch with the glue, he invented in it. He's always experimenting with different things 😊
@miniscenesgb11 ай бұрын
Daniel hasn't done anything with Eco Pour though, he doesn't use the glue like this
@miniscenesgb11 ай бұрын
No it doesn't work :) You need something that dries permanently tacky, Elmers is a totally different glue

Lovely colours! Guilding glue is now on my to-buy-list. Also the Tiny Turner pigments, but I'll wait until after Marker's Central to see if I can buy there to save on the horrendous customs fees.

This is a great video. I have been wondering how I would color the eco pour. I have about a half ton of mica. If I can find my holding glue ill be all set. Thanks for a very informative video.

Could you do this in reverse order? Coat a mold with some mica powder/gilding flakes, pour in a thin layer of UV resin and gently work it up the sides of the mold, cure it, and then pour in your eco-pour?
@miniscenesgb11 ай бұрын
No that's why I was asked to make this video. Eco Pour will not stick to resin. Though resin will stick to Eco Pour
@SkitchBean_aka_Christine_E11 ай бұрын
Thank you, Tracey. I don't have any size, but I wonder if the spray glue that is used to attach stencils to canvases would stay sticky. So you could spray through the stencil to the eco pour. ??? I have used that glue on a few stencils to paint on wood cuts for ornaments. The next year, the back of the stencil was still tacky. Because I was lazy and didn't give the vinyl a good cleaning 😂. I know I would have a horrible time with the stencil shifting if I tried the sponge method. ❤
@miniscenesgb11 ай бұрын
Not sure, it's worth a try I would say. the only thing is - is it waterbased so will come off the silk screens easily - I'm not sure
@SkitchBean_aka_Christine_E11 ай бұрын
@miniscenesgb no, I don't think it is. The reason I thought of it was the way the stencil kept shifting on you. I thought to mention it, then thought, duh! It will transfer to your piece and everything will be covered...
@miniscenesgb11 ай бұрын
@@SkitchBean_aka_Christine_E yeh that would work with a stencil :) not with silk screen but a stencil yes. I do have actuual stencil glue, but for the sake of this video I just didn't go hunting for it :)
