The way a waver can get rid of that back line indent is just putting the durag on like normal but in the back where you tie it put some tissue or a small towel so the strings aren’t putting that much pressure in the back of the head/neck

If he stops wearing the durag and just lets his hair grow for a while, all the patches would go away and his neck line would fill in more. You can clearly see that the line above his ears is too high due to him cutting it so high up overtime to compensate for the thin spots created by the durag.

Waves ain’t ruining it. He doesn’t know how to tie his durag or when to take his durag off. He wears the durag for way too long and way too tight. That’s why the hair is thinning on his neck line and right above his ears. He needs to let his hair reset before it’s too late. Just grow that shit out for a while with no durag and properly take care of it. All the spots will fill in and when he starts back waving it would look better.
