Rossi, you sure sent several guys home scratching their heads that day. No telling how much perpetration they had put in for that match. Excellent shooting.

I used to be a competitive shooter with my primary focus on Smallbore Rifle Metallic Silhouette. It's amazingly easy for even the most seasoned shooter to miss at close range. A momentary lapse in concentration, misreading the wind, forgetting to reset your scope for teh correct range (happens more often than you'd expect), simple brain fart - stuff happens, and you miss. BTDT. That said, Great job Rossi, and congratulations on your win!

@@americanairgunner The way you showed up, (last to the gate), and handed loaners to shoot with at the last minute, actually put you at ease. You had nothing to gain or lose. They were all tense in competition, and you just shot like you know how to shoot, and beat them. If you can harness that feeling of ease in competition, they may not let you in the gate. :) I have seen fast Motocross racers at local events, show up to the starting gate just before it was about to drop, get the hole shot and win the race. They did not like sitting on the line, getting all tensed up. Same kind of thing I think here. Hey, it's all my pleasure watching your great channel. Well done Rosi, well done.

Rossi Morreale, host of the American Airgunner TV show. As for velocity it depends on the caliber and weight of the projectile. The AirForce Texan in .45 ranges from 750fps to 900fps, bullets from 143gr to 405gr.
@cpoole777 жыл бұрын
I am commenting here only towards some of the comments I see that seem to infer that air guns can't shoot 100 yards. If you believe that, you need to get current in your understanding because things sure have changed. I own an AirForce Condor in .22 and it chronos over 1300 fps with Crossman Premier 14.3gr pellets and shoots one-hole groups at 35 yards. I have won several BBQ lunches in contests with a local FBI friend who takes his A/R to the range. His challenge is to hit 5 clays in 5 shots with his .223 with Eotech sight at 50yds. I then come behind him with my "air rifle" and break the pieces left over from his clays at the same distance (using a scope). If he misses a clay, he buys me lunch. If I miss one of the clay pieces, I buy him lunch. So far, all my lunches have been paid for. On a good day with little wind, I have come close to shooting MOA groups at 100 yards at our local range. I use 24 gr cast bullets for that instead of pellets. The AirForce Texan in .457 is shown on KZbin routinely hitting a 24" target at 500+ yards and still having enough energy to penetrate through a 2/3" sheet of plywood. They are also being used to take down medium size game in Africa. Average ballistics for the .457 Texan ranges from over 1000fps with 160gr bullets to around 750fps with 405gr bullets.

The rifle he won better than the one he used to win with? That's great!! Go in with a loaner rifle and come out with a new rifle. This isn't even fair competition, guys coming out with fancy gear to compensate for the lack skill. Yet the guy with a loaner rifle won going unsupported all the way.

You walk on the range, they loan you a gun & a scope. You're then given 10 minutes to attach & sight in the scope...with borrowed ammo. NOW, under those circumstances, do you really expect viewers to believe you swept the match with only 4 shots & winning the competition over those professional big bore airgun shooters? I don't believe it for a second! Nice try though. However, I may change my mind about your abilities when I see you raise a staff & "part the Red Sea.

Rossi Morreale I do. You're paid to shoot nearly every airgun out there for countless hours. Both a skill builder and these guys shoot one gun all the time and probably shoot less often. That many professionals that missed as well? You can see where I'm going with this one... I purposely train on vastly different platforms for this reason (not to win but a fun challenge to increase my skills) and it works VERY well.

250 is no biggie....i've seen a guy making 600 hundred yard shots with a texan. and the longest 1282 yards with a airforce texan 45, so 250, not really that impressive.

True...but none of those guys borrowed the gun, put a scope on it 5 minutes and borrowed some slugs and then went out and won a shooting competition having never fired the rifle.

Keller Jonas dude there was a guy that headshoted a dead pig on short range with a 715 fps heavy pellet I believe it was a 25 cal fx air rifle and it penetrated the head went through the brain matter and ended up in the back of the head you obviously underestimate the power of these things you can even penetrate a car door with pointy sharp brass pellets or gamo lethals even with prometheus pellets that goes through 1.5mm of thick steel here are the videos to the test kzbin.info/www/bejne/b561nnyvf8qJoKc and here he shoots through a windshield at different distance kzbin.info/www/bejne/a33Pn3aIedKlnKM

Keller Jonas Big bore air rifles are equivalent to small to medium caliber firearms. Most of these big bore air rifles are capable of killing a deer and maybe a medium sized bear.
@02mp96967 жыл бұрын
Keller Jonas have you seen the 700plus fpe big bore air rifles? .40 -.50 cal. One shot one kill is what it takes. Watch a few more videos of these things.

@EAMitch7 жыл бұрын
Keller Jonas it's a 400gr pellet at up to 900 fps. It is basically the equivalent of a .54 cal muzzleloader, which means it's more than powerful enough for an elk even
