Definitely admirable. Worked on all my beater cars when I was young. Part replacing, break jobs, tune ups, etc. Long time ago. I'm planning to buy a very fast car in the next couple years if things go right for me. I will not work on it personally but will have a fairly deep knowledge of all the working parts of the car since I will take the time to learn about it. But that's just me. I don't judge anyone with a car they bought and know basically nothing about it. The main idea is to have fun and go fast! :) Cheers

To those that do not know, this was what is referred to as a cackelfest. Those were in fact nostalgia A/FD type dragsters on a public street, Yes, they may not have been running nitro but that does not change the fact of what they are. Go to a cackelfest at an NHRA event and you will see these types of cars fired upon alcohol and then fed nitro. The change in audio volume and odor emitted is obvious. Good job to those promoting this event. Looks like a good time.

I can so appreciate the effort for this. My dad and his best friend built BB/GD's from the ground up back in the 60's & early 70's. Using cast iron 392 Hemi's w/a 6-71 blower on gas running low 7's in the 1/4mi. I rode in the push truck/car a number of times as a kid. They were both married men doing what they loved w/little money but won A LOT. Over 250 Win trophies. Drag racing was so much better back then when brains could beat money.

+Tinman 2 Kustoms wider tuning window with alcohol as well as approx 10% more power over gas with no other changes. even more of a commitment due to it drawing moisture out of air. fuel has to be completely drained or water will get in. can run more boost and more compression if desired while running cooler than gas with zero chance of pre ignition.methanol flames are almost invisible so be careful and aware of that. one thing caught my attn though, guy said eyes burn around exhaust fumes which i always thought indicated something diff. i always liked the sweet smell of methanol and never known it to burn my eyes.then i thought, wait a second hemispherical combustion chambers, guy pretends to be un aware what his street racer runs in quarter....he could 'tip the can' if he chose to and no one would be the wiser.you da man sir!!
