I guess now you heard of Beck (the music). i made this vid last minute while repairing. Drain, remove hose, remove thermostat housing, replace thermostat make sure air hole is on top of thermostat when installing new one. reattach hose, fill coolant, start engine let warmup once warm thermostat should open. add more coolant and cap, check to make sure coolant fan turns on.

if i wanna flush my coolant would i have too still remove the hose or can i just drain, and then fill coolant

i used a 8mm wrench. it wasnt easy. i could only turn it a little at a time. i used the round end. then to put it on i used a socket to get it to start and finished with the wrench.

I put the bolt in before putting the thermostat all the way down and started to thread it.

How did your scoot act when hot? I think i have some type 🔥 issue on my 250rs t-scoot 1st off my gauges dont work right at all so cant trust them (its a gy6) but after a cold start 1st try some gas it starts have to feather the gas for a minute when its cold out to keep it running. Than it runs fine good speed sound etc. But after say 10miles or a few miles over 40mph it starts shaking when stopped ( idling) up and down not really a rev up and down than when shutting off i got a afterfire! So i would let it run for a min before shutting it off doing this i got it on the center stand after it got 🔥 hot and started shaking and seen the wheel was going fast! Like i had a way to high of a idle setting or something only does it when hot.. Striping her down now to check spark/plug/cdi /air filter- did oil change 50miles ago. Only use 93.gas but cleaning carp aswell

It's probably your clutch. They are pretty cheap on eBay usually $20. The pins in the clutch that allow it to open and close usually loose there grease because of bad seals. Iwould get new clutch variator and belt.

Yeah ill be fixing it slowly. For now I've fallen back in love with my trike 49.cc rebuilding it now from stock bbk full deal.. Its just sooo much fun in the snow! Its weight is prefact just eats snow / ice like nothing

My gas tank is under the seat were the passenger sits but I think your talking about the coolant overflow tank on my bike its towards the front between your legs. Thats for the coolant to have room to expand when its hot (running). Just make sure its halfway full when your bike is cool.

Yes it's for water/coolant. It's the overflow tank. When your engine gets hot coolant flows into that bottle then when it cools it goes back into your radiator.

On mine the little one goes from the thermostat housing to the carb to a little L shaped piece of aluminum that has 1 screw that holds it to the carb then from the carb it goes to the filler neck. It circulates a little coolant to keep the carb from freezing up. It also let's the air bubbles escape from the system. On mine the L shaped piece on the carb was a little clogged make sure you can see the coolant flowing out the little hose to the filler neck.

My over heats light comes on as soon as I turn my bike on it’s a 250cc venom/falcon.. and I changed the carburetor and thermostat.. light still coming on..

Maybe it's the coolant temperature sensor it's on the housing for the thermostat.

Yes it goes to the carb to a small aluminum L shaped thing that screws on. Then to the filler cap. It's keep your carb from freezing up.
