I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. Today (June 24, The Festival of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist), Acts 13:13-26 was our New Testament Lesson (or Epistle) of the Day.

While I appreciate the speakers presumed humility, I am sort of lost on how he knows that John mark wrote the gospel of mark...

Biblical Proof that the Jews are Black. Also in the same Book the Apostle Paul is mistaken for an Egyptian ACTS 21:37-38 So Christ is Black, The Jews are Black and every Prophet is Black. God Bless the 12 tribes of Israel scattered throughout all four corners of the earth

The Jewish believers in Jesus as Son of God and Messiah were called Christians in Acts 11. Paul never refers to those people who are saved according to his Acts 13 revelation, Christians. He calls them saints, brothers, sisters, members of Christ's Body, etc. but never Christians. Most people do not know this fact.

Believe in the Gospel that Paul taught and you will know that you are saved. The Gospel of the Grace of God. We are justified by faith just like our father Abraham. No preacher or any man can tell you what you should DO to be saved. You do nothing but believe, then you are justified before GOD the father by the faith of Jesus. What Jesus did...not your stinking righteousness...just a little reminder of our righteousness....Romans 3.10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. SO HOW ARE WE SAVED PAUL? 20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Believe it or suffer GOD's wrath.

@Redeemed absolutely but remember its by walking in the spirit...the good works are the outcome of our faith...as Paul puts it...not by works but by the renewing of our minds...also with such great promises brothers what manner of persons should we be

@Redeemed Dear Sir, I know your heart is in the right place...however grace is the message that Paul continuously preaches throughout his ministry..the repentance is a change of mind about ones own righteousness before God and then believing in THE FAITH OF CHRIST what he did for you to make you justified before GOD. Its all about Paul's gospel. The moment you believe you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and the promises are immediately put into effect. God indwells us with his holy spirit and teaches us how to live holy lives. I share with many people including the JW's etc... the thing is this 'with such great promises brothers what manner of person should we be'...NOT 'what manner of person should we be to receive the promises'...there is a huge difference between the two and unfortunately most are believing the latter. Paul received progressive revelation from Jesus throughout his whole ministry which ended in the conclusion that Paul gives us in Romans is that all have come short of the glory of God..none have ever seeked after his righteousness...so we must be like our father Abraham who believed in the promises of our Heavenly Father and it was counted as righteousness and stand firm in those promises, because if we don't we will not be able to stand against persecution and tribulations, thats why many will fall away from the truth because they are relying on their own righteousness and do not really believe that God has promised them eternal life.

@Redeemed you too my brother...keep preachin the grace because without the indwelling of the spirit we have no power to be conformed in the image of his son just dead works
