It’s been a while since I first listened to this talk, but it was very insightful in new ways after a couple of years more personal experience, read as “ups and downs”. Lol. My heart goes with gratitude and good wishes to Ajahn, and our other teachers, who give so much of themselves. Thank you to Ajahn Jayasaro and to those who made it possible for me to hear these talks as I need them.

Don't be so hard on yourself.Look what a fantastic teacher you are. You also have a very nice personality. You're a great speaker! I better quit there so you don't get all excited and sprout hair behind both ears.

At 2:17 he talks about a previous "lifetime". Does this mean a previous incarnation as another living being? Or he is talking about his own past?

Wat Pah Nanachat was built in 1975 ... and Ajahn Jayasaro was born in 1958 ... Ajahn was Abbott of Wat Pah Nanachat surroundedby people - in his 'past life' whereas he now lives alone ... Also, a Monk speaking about a past life is strictly forbidden in the Vinaya anyway ... listen again, its all very clear

The Western monastics have really helped me to see just how brainwashed we are.
