This is fantastic! How did I miss this?! I wondered about the Buddhas curly hair. I read he had blue eyes too. I have no Idea where that came from. I didn't know that about Mahayana covering "many" different sects based on Mahayana. I agree totally with you about no religions really "knows"if what they believe in is truly fact. " None of us knows what we are talking about". You got that right!! This is great. Thank you Ajahn Jayasaro.

So if Buddha remembered Al his lives what was the first one and what came before that first life and how did that first life begin and why did it begin

Great question!! There is a sutta about this. Where he remembered all of his past lives, right back to the first one. He says of this, he does not know what “created this house” or why, but that he breaks this house into a million pieces forever more! (Or something along those lines, and which meant he has broken the chain and would not be reborn again). It was quite shocking to me when I heard it!! And I thought, if even the Buddha does not know who/what created us, then I am not certainly not going to worry about it anymore!

Buddha's teachings how to achive a permanent peaceful mind to enjoy a happy life but not to missuse time talking on endless gossipes like the unseen powers or the formation of this planet or universe. Modern science has quite ability to answer on this subject.

If you agree with this idea a person is about to die he leaves present body and accept another body in some one mother's womb by the energy of " Viyyana Citta ". Here my question why not the same Viyyana Citta should consider in our present changes of mind and this wouldn't consider the transformation of life or re-birth?
