The 273 engine was quite powerful for it’s displacement. I had a 66 valiant with a 273. It was a ball to drive.

My Mom had the convertible. In 1977 going to a high school basketball ball game I got rear ended by an Olds 98. Damn near folded the car in half and it reclined the bucket seat I was in with no headrest of course. I was a football, wrestler, weight lifter in great shape or I probably would have been hurt bad, but not a scratch. I still think the convertible looks better than the fast back.

Yep, in the day the notch back was not the one to get, but now I am with you! I would snap up a notch back. We had a 69 fastback in the 1980s.
