I personally didn't prefer boards with suspension trucks that felt a bit out of place compared to channel-style trucks, but Horizon was a board that changed my mind. It was the first board I would choose when I had to ride long distances because it provided a comfortable and luxurious ride and light and smooth movements. In addition, the power that never seemed to be lacking and the sophisticated and smooth driving performance were unparalleled so far. It was a board that reminded me of a powerful and luxurious GT car if I were to compare it to a car. I would cautiously say that it is the best board of the year. In conclusion, I think it is a board that I can unconditionally recommend if you have the budget. 사실, 개인적으로는 약간의 이질감이 느껴지는 써스팬션 트럭의 보드들을 채널 스타일의 트럭들에 비해 선호하지는 않았는데, 호라이즌은 그런 제 생각을 바꾼 보드였습니다. 편하고 고급스러운 승차감에 가볍고 부드러운 움직임들을 제공하기에, 긴 거리를 라이딩해야 할 땐 가장 먼저 선택할 보드였습니다. 그것에더해, 절대 모자랄것 같지 않은 동력과 정교하고 부드럽기까지한 구동성능은 현재까지 독보적이였습니다. 마치 차에 비교한다면 파워풀하고 럭셔리한 GT 카를 연상하게 하는 보드였습니다. 조심스럽게 올해 최고의 보드라고 말할수 있을것 같습니다. 결론은, 예산만 맞다면 무조건 추천할수 있는 보드라 생각됩니다.

If it's very cold, I think there will probably be a slight effect at the beginning of the ride. But with a little ride, that slight effect will be eliminated. FYI, the temperature in the review video that day was 33.8 ℉ (1-2℃). But I didn't notice any abnormalities in the spring and shock absorber in the ride.

Great review as always. Those front lights are a great upgrade over the Z3. Looking at the bottom of my board (z3) though, I'm happy the battery is not on the bottom after all the off roading.

What I want next is an upgrade kit for my Nyx Z3 so it can be 4WD/AWD; hopefully that will be what the Z5 will be and they'll offer upgrade kit just like they did for the Z1 when the Z3 came out. The quick release battery mount they were working on at last trade show would be nice to get an upgrade too, since I can't use under hanging batteries as I live in a super rugged area in the first place - I would actually have used countersunk flattop screws in the battery box mount, where it was shipped with regular old pan/round head that protrude underneath and would have been immediately destroyed. If you know how to use a drill and size screws it's easy to do the countersinking yourself but it should come that way. Thanks for another great video and taking the time to show all this (I am looking to upgrade to the new tabless cells when we can get a pack made with them, Acedeck also sells empty battery boxes).

@@KAMiJUINs I just found out today that MBS (maker of analog mountain boards) released an electric model - and it's got an option for 4WD/AWD. That tells me that more companies are going to drop AWD option, which excites me. 🙂

Ouh i like the integration of the front light! Would be awesome if they would sell it as an upgrade for the Nyx if it's possible. Just received Z3 yesterday.

It would be nice if the parts were released by replacing only the base plate, but there is a difficult task to connect the power cables of the lights to the ESC. I'll look forward to it in another way. And congratulations on receiving Z3 and I hope you enjoy safe and fun riding

Sorry it’s a bit of a silly question, but is that esc current per side or in total? If it’s per side I’m extremely impressed, otherwise my diy beats it by a good bit. Also those wheels look very reminiscent of those used by 3dservisas for a long time

It is 160A in dual. This is a complicated issue. First of all, the current values of the ESC used in the production board and the ESC used in the DIY do not show the same preference even though the values are the same. For example, if the ESC current value of the production board is dual and 100A, the ESC used in the DIY must be set to about 140A with the VESC tool to achieve similar performance. So it's hard to simply compare by numbers. Yes, as you said, tires look the same. If so, the wheel hub looks better with Acedeck.

do you know if the 1500wh battery has a shallower enclosure, so you actually get more ground clearance or is it the same enclosure that the 2000wh battery has but its instead filled with foam or air?

I am glad I held off with shopping on black friday. This is my wet dream after having nyx Z3 for offroading, this looks perfect for cruising. The price is a bit steep though tbh. Also - care to share your riding protective gear? Pants and jacket. Thank you!

Would you get the Horizon over the nomad n3? Is it really worth? Also, how does it be different from the n3?

If I have enough budget, of course, I would go to Horizon. It has a large battery capacity, and it also has a large ESC current support. Of course, it has strong power performance. If the N3 is a mid-sized sports sedan, I think Horizon is a board with the characteristics of a flagship GT sedan.

acedeck is saying that they are not straight cut gears...please tell me that I am talking to an uninformed customer service representative...straight cut and herringbone are the only gears that I know of that don't exert lateral force on the motor pinion and motor shaft bearings. so again...are they really straight cut gears?
