First Metroliner trips were on the Penn Central between New York and Washington in January 1969. About 15 cars from the original 61 car fleet built in 1967 are still running as push pull cab cars on Amtrak's Springfield shuttle, Valley Flyer and Harrisburg Keystone Corridor. One such car is shown at 4:20 on a route out of Chicago.
