Loved the video, loved the sound of the Unimog; the music, not so much. Look forward to seeing more recovery videos, would like to see some of the more technical aspects like dealing with staked tyres and uncooperative trailers. Great recovery, and great video!

Geez, that was a mission. Thanks for making a video from this. Hopefully we can avoid this situation when we'll be doing the Holland track in our gladiator. It probably wouldn't fit on Shaun's trailer. lol We make sure to have a snorkel by then. Do you know who the JL was insured with?

Certainly was and not a problem. My advice as I’ve done the track so many times is, stay out of the bog holes they are not worth it and will destroy your car even if you make it through. He was insured with Alliance but most insurance companies will cover you if you are legally allowed to be there.

Was close to 6k in the end but covered by the owners insurance company.

@Tomosan Alliance. Most insurance companies will cover you off road as long as you are legally allowed to be there.
