That's an avarage of 63kmh (39.2 mph). To achieve this we basically do double the speed limit in cities and do 10-20% over the speed limit outside. Most people do 4 hours-4.5 hours on this distance, that's considered avarage by most of the population. (Around 26-30 miles per hour on avarage). I drive on the Autobahn daily and people going faster than 300kph is extremely rare. Commuting to work at 300kph is even less likely because of traffic. That kind of speed can only be achieved on weekends in the early morning hours when the roads are empty. Also, while I am not in favor of a general speed limit on our German highways, going that fast is certainly not without risk and should only be done when road conditions allow for it.

Therefore here in europe, but especially here in germany, cars intended for use as a long distance car, almost always are diesels. My best guess as to why they aren't used that often (or at all?) in cannonballing would be do too both the lack of available high powered diesel cars in the us (even in Europe they've seldomly reached over 300 hp) and probably because of a worse availability of diesel over gasoline in the US in general. @@TedwardDrives Having an APR Mobile dongle in the car would be a great idea. You can quickly switch away from the 93 octane tune to the 91 octane or stock tune when you encounter lower octane fuel. I keep one in my S6 for a quick tune swap with my phone when I hit the 91 octane areas of the country.

lol, I thought my average of 71 over 1000 miles with 2 fuel stops was good. The thing that kills this type of thing for me is fatigue driving. I've had the unfortunate experience of falling asleep (Miami to NYC) 1 hour from destination. Luckily I hit a cone and woke up before I hit a wall. Now I limit my drive to ~1000 miles or 16 hours, take good rest stops and such. Props to you cannon ballers.

what? is it that complicated for you superior Europeans? SMH.......
@MrZillas4 жыл бұрын
@@F14Mavrick - Metric system is based on "10" or "x10". A fucking gallon are 3.79 liters, which is stupid as fuck. European pound are 500 grams (0,5 kg), in US its 0.45359237 kg. How dumb is that? ....... A cube of 10x10x10 centimeters takes 1 liter water. 1 liter water weights 1 kilogram. Show me the cube that takes a fucking gallon. Ya, you cant. 100 cent = 1 Euro/Dollar (cool, thats easy). But concerning american football, you dont take 100 centimeters for 1 meter as we superior Europeans do, no, but 91,44 centimeters for 1 yard. So, what is a fucking yard? Yeah, its 3 feet and 1/12 inches, thats absolutely helpful.

Pretty horrible to imagine the driver could lose his/her license while doing this. driving 100 mph in some states is almost as bad as DUI. Straight to jail. The laws suck. Someone should crowdfund free radar jammers for everyone. Who cares about laws?!

Hands down to these cannonballers. I have my respect on these run after watching roy’s 3207 run. I have tried to average 110mph for a 372 miles run, got it just at 95mph. Most people don’t understand that if you’ve been driving at 60mph for 10 minutes, to gain back those average, you gotta do at least 120 for the next 10 minutes just to even it out. At those speed with other traffic is petrifying. You have to anticipate what other cars would do. Just amazed with those people doing this.
