Sir how is it that the speed is not going to change and hence Ea is not going to change throught out the process of increasing the mechanical input? Time 11:16

sir please reply to me, i need answer for this, when a alternator is operating on a bus if excitation of that alternator is increased it is operates under lagging power factor by delevering reactive power, the delevering reative power is___________ 1) lagging VAR 2)leading VAR

when a alternator is connected with infinite bus bar and mechanical torque is increased what happens to the generator current will it lag or lead to the terminal voltage?

Lead.. bcoz Delta will increase

Hii sir.... If we go on increasing the frequency, won't there be any problem during synchronization as frequency is not in par with infinite bus frequency...Please clarify..
@ElectricalisEasy6 жыл бұрын
After the initial transient , the system will settle down at new angle delta and rotate at synchronous speed only...system cannot work at speed higher or lower than synchronous speed

after the initial transient, the generator and infinite bus frequency will be equal and the speed of the prime mover will come to its initial speed ..then how the generator is feeding the extra power to the load demand.

In order to synchronize gen with infinite bus, is it not mandatory to keep frequency just little above rated, or we can synchronize incoming generator at any higher frequency?

Hello sir I ve a question If Syn generator disconnected from infinite bus due to fault (no more supply reactive power), it acts as a Syn motor Now question is that Syn motor aborb power Just real power aborb or real and reactive power both ?

If frequency drop curve of gen increase then why not speed changes in the generator.if speed changes ea has to increase .sir please .I have confusion how Ea constant by slight change in frequency?

Consume active power from the infinite bus bar
@abc15826 жыл бұрын
You said, by increasing gen frequency, active power generation from gen would increase. But doesn't much increase in gen frequency cause effect as the more flickering in lamp case? What is the value to which gen freq should increase so as to maintain parallel operation?
@pradeeptmani58485 жыл бұрын
Hey ..it means first of all synchronize the generator with the infinite bus and then increase the input mechanical torque by increasing the stream in the turbine, to get more active power contribution from the generator.

Sir.Which one is correct ; Pg = Vp*Ia*cosphi or Pg = Ea*Ia*cosphi?
@krakash4474 Жыл бұрын
Power is generally taken from output terminal, which means it is vp*ia*cos phi. But if u r interested in generated power then it will be ea*ia* cos gamma .. note: angles will change between ea and ia.

Sir, most of the students have this doubt. How the |Ea| is not increasing and only delta varying by changing the governor setting? Please sir clear our doubt. Thanks
@ElectricalisEasy4 жыл бұрын
Ea is only a function of flux, speed and machine constant. It does not depends on the input mechanical power you are giving. of course the machine will accelerate when you increase mechanical power, but it will settle down back to the synchronous speed once the input torque equals the induced torque. The increase in mechanical power input is reflected as a an increase in the electrical output of the generator.

Electrical Is Easy thank you sir. Just one last doubt as we also read “Ea = 4.44*flux*T*freq” as well so speed Ns also proportional to the frequency and frequency seems to be proportional to the Emf (rms) induced then how it doesn’t changes emf?
@shihabmahmood91354 жыл бұрын
Electrical Is Easy Electrical Is Easy i have the same question as mentioned above. If we change governor set points, rotor speed changes, which changes no load frequency. Then why the flux frequency in the formula of Ea doesn’t change? Isn’t no load frequency and the flux frequency are the same? It’d be a great help if you could kindly explain this conundrum.

if infinite bus consumes power than some of the generator in infinite bus will enter into motoring action?????????(since infinite bus is huge no of generators connected in parallel
@ElectricalisEasy6 жыл бұрын
Infinite bus is not an equipment, it is a collection of interconnected generators....transformer etc...
@krakash4474 Жыл бұрын
Infinite bus will deliver that power to other feeders.
