Now that’s a hot take. Sure, Remote Control was a victim of seasonal rot. But Zap It! isn’t as cool as Remote Control was in the first three seasons

I remember being very excited to see another game show on Discovery Kids that I woke up super early just to catch. I didnt typically know what times shows were on so I would just sit and WAIT for shows to come on....lol. I actually look back at the Discovery Kids block fondly and wish Discovery still attempted kids shows.......

It is basically Remote Control for a new generation. As Discovery Kids was in digital cable, the show tried to capture the digital cable theme.

I fondly remember this show! This is the first time I’ve seen it being brought up in a long long time. I love Zooventure as well!

Because of this show, for a while, I referred to TV remote controls as "The Zapper." This continued for years afterward. Whenever I left my grandfather's house, he'd always say "Before you leave, give me The Zapper."
