Re the Pete cab head liner , check out 'Twin Sticks Garage ' - hes a Cannock like you - and 'Easy Rider 359' - he's a yank - they both fitted 'New cab Interiors' from the Day-cab Cab Company , so Head liner not really a problem , might even be able to supply overhead consul ? An idea for the headliner/bulkhead - bulkhead already has 4 speaker holes cool - cover as you have them out is have them covered in vinyl same/similar pattern as the rear of the cab , maybe buttoned maybe a contrasting colour ? As for the seats ! if its just the top/back of the drivers seat maybe a seat/seat back from a 359/379 same/similar colour/pattern will fit ? , re holes in the roof rubber grommets with a little silicon will seal and won't be noticeable - sticky dynomat or similar plus sound deadening will sort out the roof after you have sealed the holes and before the headliner goes in , keep all the old trim as patterns/templates in-case you need to make a replacement

Mike you living in a cold place they make a awesome stick on insulation that will help keep it warmer and quieter for you. Most everyone who replaces the interior updates with it. I'm sure you probably already know what I am talking about. Yeah you need to get with Daycab company they seem to really want to help out with the Old School Truck's coming back to the roads.

She's a good-looking truck, Mike. I cast my vote to keep her marker lights and air horns as they are, or perhaps just add a couple of air horns and a modest visor if any at all. Once you have her painted up low and slow will be one heck of a beautiful truck.

On my project truck im doing 2 seperate sets of airhorns gonna do 4 chrome trumpets across the top as traditional airhorns then behind the cab gonna put dixie airhorn set

I would take out the interior of the sleeper to make sure there’s no mold, rust and holes. Do it right the first time so no problems occur in future

Coming along nicely. 4 horns traditional lights, small drop visor. Would look sharp is my thoughts. As far as interior goes gotta get that window area repaired and when you do new lights and horns make sure they’re sealed up really good before it’s an issue. I wouldn’t worry about replacing or repairing those interior parts till it was not leaking. As far as custom interior I tend to like the stock regular one myself,but that’s up to you.

4 horns would look good. I would keep the standard 5 marker lights. I think lights all the way across spoils the look of the truck. I like the stock visor as well. This is just my opinion.

Hi Mike, I’d check with the Daycab company and see about the cost of a new interior, that way everything will match, can also get rid of the drab brown color. Also, by replacing the interior you can do sound proofing and better insulation. Don’t do a big drop visor, just a smaller one, I’d go with more new LED cab lights, as well as replace all other lights with LED, they are brighter, will last longer and draw less power. Looking forward to seeing you fix up the old iron.

Do color swappable LED chicken lights along the top so when your at the show you can run red and white across the whole machine and then swap em back over to amber for driving

Keep the exterior roof traditional. At most replace the marker lights and horns if they are too far gone. For the interior, work on the front windows and get that squared away clean and waterproofed. Source new dash components if they are available and or acquire from a wrecked vehicle. Gluing and patching will not deliver the results I know that you are looking for. Lastly inquire at the Day Cab Company and get a whole new interior front to back. That way all will match and be clean and result in an awesome interior to be proud of. Nice work so far!

I restored an old car and used dyes to make the visors look new again they were bad like yours and turned out great. Look into that before new ones. Look up some videos it’s easy to do

Mike when you sort the window rust, paint it and then give it a good coating in anti corrosion wax and try to also inject the wax between the two panels where they are welded.

Gotta have a CB, mood lights, external lights & horns, so consider that before you do the panels. How tall are you gonna ride in the seat? I would keep the CB inside, it looks a great piece of history, and i think is always good to hear something during some driving. Not a really fan of the red wheels, i would put on some brushed Alcoa Steel wheels on it. And i think the kenny looks awesome as it is, doesn't need to be stretched. The panels inside can be sprayed with a better product and also sprayed on the Roof. Cost is way cheaper and you can get a insulation value. As for the outside Roof NO ONE is going to be seeing it except the Police Aircraft chasing Low and slow. Ceramic Coat Spray or similar such product was used on Aircraft and Space Shuttles as a exterior protection which has insulation for heat cold, and sound reduction, Works UNREAL you will NEVER have a exterior leak at warp speed and reentry. GREAT product and 1000 times better then any mat material

Please stretch Kenny a bit and then fit him with a fifth wheel, it would look much better. The tan interior looks good apart from the doghouse cover, maybe replace it with a lighter colour. As regards the broken or missing pieces of the dashboard I would call around truck scrap yards for replacement parts or search online for them, I'm sure you know a few truck scrap yards or someone at work will if they have to deal with accident damaged vehicles. Your wife may be happier to travel in Low n Slow if you can replace the missing passenger heater vents. Your visors are vinyl, maybe try a good clean and see if they are salvageable as it would help keep Low n Slow as original as possible.

The steel frame on the window should be replaced by an aluminum frame to void the same problem come back again. Yes, you can fix the seats, Trip them down, very likely will be some broken springs. Take the opportunity to wash the cover in the washing machine. If I had your truck, I would put red interior. But this is my taste.

While you’ve got things tore down and maybe looking into replacing the right side of the dash I’d contact one of the paint less dent removal specialist (plenty of KZbin videos) and get rid of that dent. It appears the removal of the dash would allow better access to the back side of the damaged site.

Fix the windshield frame first and then use the energy, and bank account, to keep it old school. Keep the CB, it is a retro piece. You need to surf the internet and KZbin for ideas that car guys are utilizing for sound deadening materials besides the expensive matting.

maybe you could simply paint the roof with RV roof paint? Like henry's? That should seal it up good, and it is naturally white. also reflects the heat some during the summer, so the AC does not have to work as hard.
