Hey Pete, I can't lie, you changed my life. In two months, I went from working two part-time jobs at about 50-60 hours a week, to working just one part-time job about 25 hours a week. My hours at work are gradually decreasing too. All thanks to watching your videos and seeing you make a living doing what you love. I love it too. You've turned my hobby into a job, hopefully a career. Thanks Pete, I owe you.

@ChicagoCrownHustler7 жыл бұрын
People are on their phones as is... so dont be shy. Resellers are not new to thrift stores, garage sales, pawn shops at all. To sell well you need to know how to buy well, and if a phones going to help you understand profit margins then it's awkward not to use your phone. Im sure Pete and most other resellers who've been in the game for years still use their phone consistently to get an understanding. Hope it helps, get some product, and start listing. You're only stopping yourself =)

The good thing about Dewalt tools is they have serial numbers. I always take photos of any serial numbers plus put it in the description and add my own item specifics with it as well. Then there is no arguing that they sent back a different item.

It won't help. Sadly, the customer service on ebay will simply ask you how you can prove that YOU sent that exact particular item and YOU did not switch it. This goes both ways with the returned item as well. They do not care if its a new buyer. That's the worst part. Record it in video? Yeah, they DO NOT care....period. Sorry for bringing the bad news.
@mark1nyc7 жыл бұрын
Eric Freebooter Unfortunately, same thing. I was told since I was a business seller (meaning items sold are 200+ per certain period.. Ebay will not give a f##k about it. This happened to me last week, buyer just joined ebay the day he bought my merchandise and ebay did not take my 7-year 100% feedback in consideration. He (the buyer) swapped the item with a non-working one and I paid for return shipping, too. They tell victimized sellers to report the buyer.......they talk as if that will get your money back, smh. Can't blame them, because overseas customer service are not paid to think they're just there to mindlessly read you the guidelines & rules implemented by ebay. Called paypal and reported that particular buyer, hopefully he would get blocked from further online purchases. To other sellers: If this happened to you and the item is really expensive, I would suggest report the buyer to their local precinct.

How did you get on with EBay when you complain to Ebay that some scum bag buys a good condition drill from you and asks for a refund by sending a rundown piece of crap not what you sent them. Just wondering how you get around to prove to Ebay that that item is not the one you sent the scammer, and did Ebay cover you as they usually always side with the buyer every time . Had this done to me twice with items and i ended up paying the price because some scum bag buyer scammed me & had to refund them each time.

At the beginning of the video I noticed you were saying you're getting ready to take some stuff to the post office. A seller in another video I watched before this one said the only thing he ships via USPS are flat rate and first class items, and other than that he ships everything FEDEX. I read on Replacements.com (dishes, etc.) that they don't ship anything UPS. A close friend recently worked briefly for the biggest UPS facility in the world loading and unloading trailers for two months and he calls them united package smashers so I understand why that dishes company doesn't ship UPS. We've been doing the eBay thing for just under two years and the only thing we've shipped anything other than USPS is a bicycle we shipped across the US via Greyhound. Do you ship pretty much everything through USPS or do you use Fedex and/or UPS, and what criteria do you use to determine what shipper to use? Is it totally based on shipping costs, shipping time to the customer, breakage, following through on insurance claims, or something else? Your Goodwill store is HUGE compared to the two that are close by us. We live only about 80 miles from you across the border in Indiana.

A few hours after the purchase, i started to have second-thoughts about the purchase. Is there any way a common reseller can protect their self from the law if it turns out an item is actually stolen?
