The way I was taught to do the inner wheel bearing and seal is to grease the bearing, put it in to the rotor, install the seal in the rotor, put the rotor on to the spindle, grease the outer bearing and install it then install the spindle washer, then the nut and adjust it, ect. I have concern that the way you did this the seal is not properly seated in the rotor and will get hung up and cause damage and as such not seal. I'd pull a rotor off and see how it is looking, seat it of needed. if not needed then the other side may be fine too. I use the spring compressor that bolts to the lower spring saddle. I really like it.

OK I will add that to my to do list to check the wheel seals. Yes I’d prefer to use the compressor that bolts to the perch as it seems safer. My dad bought one recently so that’ll be used in the future

Not hard to pack wheel bearings by hand. its a labor of love working on classic cars. Save your money and do it by hand.

Take those rotors off, put the inner bearing into the rotor (with a bunch of grease) and then hammer the seal into the rotor. It WILL NOT WORK how you did it, you will ruin the rotor and brakes once the grease finds it’s way out of the assembly.
