Great review! Nice shop! Been looking at the Max and was kinda sceptical because it was made in China. Been using my Mirka and Festool for a few years and have no complaints whatsoever. Might have to order a max for a back up. Thank you for the great review

There are a few chinese made brushless sanders available now under a variety of brands, that all seem to be similar. I bought a brand called Phendo, but there is also this brand, and Pioneerworks to name a few. They still are in the $150-$200 price range, but from my experience they are great value for especially the DIYer or hobbyist. If your income depends on your tools then the Mirkas and Festools are likely a better option, if mainly for the customer support and warranty.

I own and operate a yacht repair business where we do lots of bottom jobs. These require sanding for 8 to 10 hours at a time for days on end. Often overhead with very abrasive dust. We use 3 max xt sanders and cannot be happier with the performance and power they give. They are the best sanders on the market. Bar none

Got my Maxxt sander and it works very well. Did you notice lots of static discharge while using the vac hose. Mine was giving me good static discharge into my hand during use?? My other sanders don’t do this… BusyBee Tools has a nice hose kits with multiple adapters for $32.99. Fits and works perfectly on this sander

No at all, mind you i used it only with the Mirka dust extractor, i haven't tried it with my shopvac. what shopvac are you using?

@@area50juan I used a Makita which has a built in Auto switch…. I was receiving some good zaps of static build up .

Hi Alex. As per longevity I can’t speak for either as I got both few months back. As per quantity the Mirka seems a bit better but no enough to justify the price difference. The MaxXT works equally good as the Mirka and yes I would recommend it. Note that they have two models where the pad oscillation is either 5mm or 3mm the 5mm is more versatile for everything the 3mm is more for finishing or delicate work. Hope that helps you. Buy mirka, 3m, Festool. DeWalt 20v sander . Those will last longer. I made a mistake and got the MaxXt hoping to save money. Sander variable speed is stuck in low, got replacement part... Tok 2months to get it. Sander burnt up this time. Now my warranty is up, so I got a DeWalt 20v sander and it is bad ass.

Thank you for your dedication but I still don't believe that buying the black sander is a good option. The Mirka is not a good option for me either because it does not surpass in robustness and longevity a first-class pneumatic sander, of course, I will need a compressor, but for the price of the Mirka I can buy a mid-level compressor and a good pneumatic sander, perhaps one from the Mirka brand, because they have not stopped making them.....obviously something new has to be released so that people have something to buy....if a pneumatic sander lasts without problems more than ten years working every day for 8 hours, why buy a new and electric product?, and also so expensive?, is it that someone expects us not to have money left in our pockets even to have a beer, for example.....My God help us....sorry for the automatic translation...
