I'm not shocked at some of the replies , yes its a ford Sierra , yes its a lot of money , but they fetch what they do . I don't understand the values of paintings or even other cars but they are what they are and i don't throw personal insults at people because they see a value in an item that i don't . If you don't understand the value of these cars then that's ok , but to start being rude and personal just makes you look the kind of person who some will chose to ignore . If you have nothing nice to say then try saying nothing . you can have an opinion and express it in an adult and polite way so why make yourself look stupid with negative replies to someone who you don't even know

Those number plates for certain aren't from the factory like that! The spacing on the three 1s is wrong! Those 1s are too close. I used to make number plates back in the 90s and can spot that a mile off. Why would a one owner, standard car have none standard plates?

The car model has a legendary racing pedigree and history, built up by the legendary cosworth, is extremely rare, is beautiful, and is worth every penny. I am not a collector and would prefer to buy a driver, but that car is about as good as it gets for RS500's. Kudos to whoever purchases it.

It really is a beautiful example and the RS500 has been the car i have loved from the second i seen the first one walking to primary school . I remember the disappointment trying to find the same car as a toy in Woolworths , found the car the colour but couldn't find that spoiler and had to settle for the Xr4i . I had already fallen in love without having a clue what the experience in one was like . Hooked for life !!! . It is a shame that nobody will ever get that full experience again from the time when you could drive a Cosworth in the way that made the Cosworth the legend it is . I am so glad that the 20 or so years of Cosworths prime was the perfect timing for me to have many different Cosworths and be part of the best era to love cars . Pushing the limits of engine modifications and experiencing big boosts on green or grey injectors if memory serves me right . brought many £2000 Cosworths years ago and even had a Moonstone RS500

Only ever seen one moonstone blue one locally to me many moons ago…… gorgeous car and it eventually vanished. He’s now driving an r8 with the reg that was on the rs500
