26edo microtonal guitar diatonic chord scale demo

I've had this guitar for about 12+ years and decided to do a video demo on the characteristics of the tuning, more or less within the familiar diatonic framework along with demonstrating some other intervals available. I've always been a fan of flattening 12edo to gain more consonant major thirds so with 26 being on the flat spectrum it lends itself well to sharpening. After some insight and inspiration from Noah Jordan and an idea I had about stretching the octave I decided to pursue it. So I sharpened the octave to 1210 cents and I wasn't disappointed with the result. A little push and pull to achieve balance can be most beneficial in the end result.

I just recently discovered Octave Tempering myself! 22edt and 24edt greatly improve both fifths and thirds of 14edo and 15edo respectively. I've even maxed out the intonation on my 12edo electric to get closer to 16ed5/2 or 22ed7/2 or 42ed11 (Different flat oftave renderings of 12, close enough to equal with each other that my ear and tuner can't tell the difference.)

I did the same on one my 12edo electrics. I flattened the octave by about 10 cents- within my standard tolerance. You don't really notice much of a difference melodically but with harmony it makes a considerable difference.

That chord at 6:26-6:28... :) I dunno it kinda got right through me, I hear minor but i see you fingers doing major, whatever it is... my guitar lessons are so far away

You tried 36? If you like 45's 133¢ 36 goes up in 33.33¢ so ~33 , ~66, 100 and so on.

Yup. I tuned my 9tone guitar to 36.
