Update on my run of this challenge: - Started with fields 53 & 54, immediately added a wind generator (medium), trailer home and precision farming shed (yes, im playing with precision farming, its more fun) - Grass silage with round baler. Slowly bought more fields. Adding fields 47, 48 and 50 gave me around 102 silage bales every "harvest", mowing 3 times per year gave me around 306 bales a year. On Hard, a 5500l bale of silage sells for around 1k. So around 300k/year. - Its now year 10. I own fields 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 53, 54 and 55. I just built a small BGA on field 55. - Since building a cow barn (45 animals) on year 8, I was getting a lot of slurry. All that slurry is going to the BGA and i still have enough to fertilize my fields. Tha BGA is making me around $1500/month - Im doing a crop rotation of oats (April - August) and grass for silage (August - November and then November - April) - I have four wind generators (medium), two solar panels (large), two medium tractors, a combine harvester, round baler for silage, round baler for hay and straw, forager wagon, slurry tank/distributor, manure wagon, trailers, and everything needed to take care of the fields. - I also bought the dairy downtown, turning my milk into cheese.

Respect to my oat and grass brother. Always been my fav combo. The only easy to do two crop (three if you count straw) in one year rotation. I like to run a stationary baler auto dropping into my hay sheds fed by two tractors pulling forage wagons. Back one up and leave it to empty while i fill the other.
@alexeizaraiov4 ай бұрын
@@tylerlepage8619 cheers! will try the stationary baler, its a good idea. I actually got the idea of doing oats and grass from sandivin, a commenter on a previous video who grows sorghum/grass, but since i need straw, i went for the oats
@tylerlepage86194 ай бұрын
@@alexeizaraiov Awesome! The stationary baler and wagons are sweet, maybe not optimized for a billionaire run, as the baler, wagons, and tractors that can pull big wagons aren't cheap, but as for a normal run, it's one of my favorite systems. Send a helper with a windrowing mower and just follow behind. No standalone windrowing, no baler to pull around, only time you load the bale trailer is when you're headed to cash out.
@aidanreilly52713 ай бұрын
@tylerlepage8619 Just wondering with the stationery auto baler setup does the baler need to be attached to a tractor for it to work and if so does the tractor get in the way of the grass unloaded from the forage wagons?
@alexeizaraiov3 ай бұрын
@@aidanreilly5271 it does need a tractor powering it for it to work. the tractors does not get in the way, it wouldnt make much sense would it?

I’ve binged this series in 2 days and have enjoyed every minute. It might be time to start thinking about upgrading your mower setup and harvester setup. I can’t imagine harvesting all of the land you own using a 5 meter mower and harvester.

You have to remember he's a farmer IRL to and if he does corn then it would be planting season rn. He's probably really busy with actual farming so he doesn't have much time to play farm sim
@davidcookson40434 ай бұрын
One usually has hours of recorded material and tries to select the most interesting parts. Fortunately for us pickle has an editor so he can upload more frequently, but if for example he records on the same day an electrician is coming to work on his recording space or there's physical farming to get done, one series might have a few shorter episodes.

Yeah dude you need to think about replacing the JD, I think around 50-60hours is the games maximum repair rate, which means it’ll cost ya an arm and a leg to run. You’ve gotten you money out of it so I would turn it in next time something good comes up for sale, dont worry about what stage of repair it’s in cause you’ll get that money out when you sell it. Also at least plow those two back grass fields together, I sorta get leaving the roads, but at least give us a little win for the “plow all your fields together” clan lol

I’ve always loved this game, but quickly became detached cause of no real goals. I never thought of these as, more so, end goals! Ive started my own play through, but with very little time to play as of now, I’m always eager to play more and try to progress, especially when binging your videos!! Keep up the work and really want to see this come to fruition! 🫶🏼
