This whole Wye River video set is the most complete landscape lesson you've created for KZbin. This video part, I can't get over it, shows a thick forested hill but the ease of being able to draw EACH tree in 3D is unmistakably a precious treasure trove. As I view each and all of your videos I'm bookmarking those to put in a safe and lockem up, that's just how rich a resource they are to me. I pull them out and hold them up to the light and be redazzled by their sparkles, such wondrous knowledge they convey. Thank you and gratitude are such rubbishy words, there has to be some grander!

Stunning and all done with a small brush with a great deal of detail. Looks like millions of leaves as well. Most artists do a few splashes of green and then add twigs. that is because they can't draw trees. Also young man you are articulate and do not mumble. A very good tutor and my pleasure to watch you. Watching your videos becomes a wonderful therapy for me, as an ex-pat Now living in Australia listening to your great voice. (Is it a cultured London accent? I was born in London) plus the excellent program of music. I have learned so much over the last two years of watching you. Your ability to create so many different greens in such a few strokes is amazing. I know your dad must have been a great influence on your work (I would love to see a painting or two of his

This is by far and away your best video to date Michael because you explain every little step you are doing. Could you PLEASE PLEASE do a similar video for the Blocking in stage, as your previous videos on this subject have up until now have been time lapse ones. It would be great to hear exactly what colours and combinations of colours you use for the different greens of the trees etc.

Yeah were it not for the 2 second credit you might have missed the artists: Daniel Kadawatha and Martin Hall. Not a mention of them in the description. Unless he paid for the rights I think it would have been a nice gesture.

Hey John I am a new subscriber and I just started watching this series of your picture. I have no patience when I paint and I find that it makes my paintings look really bad. I think taking your time like you are doing makes the painting look great. I don't wait for my paint to dry a bit before going back onto it because I want to get it done. Did you ever do this when starting out painting and if so what did you do to calm yourself before starting? I know this is a stupid question.
@maurigangarside24398 жыл бұрын
I too am a new subscriber and this is the style and subjects that I have aspired to for many years. I am also impatient and have ruined some promising paintings by being too impatient. My solution is to have 2 or 3 (or more) painting in progress at the same time, then you can put one aside to partially dry while working on another one.

Hi Michael I think your a wonderful artist, and I enjoy your tutorias tremendously. I'm fairly new to painting and with acrylics, I've tried to follow along, but I'm not having much success with my trees looking like yours, do you think its because of the acrylics or that I need to practice more? I'm pretty sure its practice more I can't imagine as long as I make my acrylics flow really good that there is much difference in the two mediums as far as how the end result should look. But what do you think? also I wanted to mention do you think your channel might be seen by more people if you put them in the how to catagory I've been searching painting tutorials on youtube for a year and this is the first time I've come across your channel, when I search my first words usually are how to..... so maybe something to think about because your a fantastic artist thank you for sharing your time and knowledge!
