Anyone else notice how Nuno is closely studying Joe Walsh's technique. Thats how a young virtuoso continued to get better and better. By studying the masters.

@@derektalasek795 "Joe Walsh, the former Eagles front man, came on stage in an equally bad state, but managed much better. “It was the most surprising moment of the five nights,” says Hollingsworth. “He was stoned and drunk backstage and I was in two minds whether to try to get him onstage or cut his part. In the end, we propped him up at the side of the stage and pushed him on. As soon as he got into the lights he was transformed. He took control of the audience and the other musicians and led. It was a wonderful performance. As soon as he got offstage he fell down.”

Notice that Joe Walsh is the only player NOT worried about his hair, his tight nut-squeezing pants, and looking cool. Joe is, and always has been, solely focused on playing. I'm not saying the other guys aren't great because they are. But Joe Walsh is legendary. He's a multi-instrumentalist and plays piano , organ, clarinet, flute, mandolin, and more. He's contributed with his guitar playing than the other 3 put together. If you haven't see Joe play live, you owe it to yourself to see him. His talent is jaw-dropping.

I was 17 in 92 when this was televised. I recorded it and practically wore the tape out. All my favourite guitarists at the time on one stage! Even though Brian May is the main reason I picked up the guitar I still remember being uncomfortable with the way he refers to himself as a guitar hero at the beginning. I mean, he totally is, but you don’t say that about yourself.

FyllingProductions I have noticed that about Walsh. With many songs, he faces the drummer, like "Life in the Fast Lane". I believe Joe has an incredible respect for the role of the drummer and when they are not on the same page, I'm sure it has an impact. During his Barnstorm stint, Joe stated the Vitale didn't get all the credit he deserved and was a big contributor to the album. Perhaps that is why he and Ringo Starr are such good friends and now brother in laws.
