Watching Forte run was always mesmerizing. It looked interesting because he's lankier than the prototypical RB build, but there was something so smooth about the way he ran and juked. Almost like the plays were going in slow motion yet they still couldn't stop it.

The best back we’ve had since Payton. Had receivers hands 🙌🏼 vision and a burst to go along with his frame wasn’t super fast and agile but was shifty enough. I was hella hyped when we draft him. I remember the 08 draft. I wanted the bears to draft him. When they did, I knew we were gonna be good for the next 8-10 years at RB.

Forte definitely did enough to get his number retired. Its a shame the GM at the time let him go when Forte clearly had a few more years of excellence, he was also loyal not wanting to play for another team, unfortunately management forced him out.
