my pap George Cramer ran this very shovel for Beeners for many years. my dad drove me down to maryland several times while this was being built in the early 80's to see the progress.

Your correct. The dozer is an HD41-B. I ran one for Fetteroff Coal company out of Jennerstown, PA.

Bennettshovel The drag line in the beginning of the video could you please tell me what kind it is ... Now i will tell My grandfather ran that drag line for over 30 years stores that i was told he walk that drag line from some where near Rockwood Pa to that area near Barton Md. I was there everyday as a kid I seen the shovel come in parts and built there. as well as the other equipment . And do you have any other pic of the drag line?

Is that shovel still operating? i can see what looks to be 2 diesel rope shovels working just west of Barton which seems to be around where the Franklin mine used to be

JCPrototype I was a kid but I do remember your grand pap George I live right by the garage on one side with My dad Larry and my grand parents live on there other side my grandfather was Buster was ran the Drag line well my hole family worked for Beeners

George passed away, a few days before died at the hospice place, somebody said "hey George, Eddie called and wants you to come back and run the shovel again" Pap tried to get up, smiled and laid back down.
