THAT IS AWSOME!!!! One of the best I've seen yet. WE NEED MORE VIDEO! Please do more showing the whole set up both inside the sim and outside showing the projectors and how you did the screen. This is exactly what I need for my P-51 sim pit!!

Cool, but could you give some specifics on how to set it up?

Hi good day! Cool setup! I just wanna know what version and type of prepar3d do you have?

Thanks!!!

This is an older video, there it was the latest p3d version at that time. Some years ago I completely moved to xplane11. Now I am on the fence for ms2020😀

That looks amazing! Question about POV from the Captain and FO seats. Is the perspective the same from both seats as it would be in real life or from a collimated display? Specifically, the view from both seats while looking down the runway.
@AlfredtwinSim5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It has a 2 camera setup - that allows correct perspective from both seats - so completely correct - done through the software from FlyElise CalibrationPro.

@@AlfredtwinSim Thanks for the reply. I currently run a 3 monitor display with about 120° FOV. I hope to in the near future move to a projection setup and achive a 200°+ FOV. Your setup is inspirational.

how would you rate the clarity and sharpness of the projector vs a monitor?
@AlfredtwinSim4 жыл бұрын
I had a 1080 tv before and it was much much sharper of course. So I would say if it was 10 in clarity and sharpness I have a 6 now. But on the other side it was way too sharp to look realistic. When you are up in the air in real life there is always some haze and it somehow looks more similar to my setup than to those ultra sharp 4k screens some people are using showing every pixel.

@@AlfredtwinSim You have a good point, I'm a pilot and you are correct on that.

Great video! What radius did you use for your screen?
@AlfredtwinSim5 жыл бұрын
Matt as the title says, 270 degrees🙂
@mattthearcadeguy5 жыл бұрын
Alfred twinSim 270 degrees is the field of view 😀 I am asking what is the radius of your circle. (Or what is the diameter of it. ie from end to end how many inches/feet/cm/mm/m is the circle that would represent your curved screen)

@@mattthearcadeguy did Alfred twinSim ever answer your question?

3 short throw projectors

Great..... but how to set the P3d with 270 degree display area?
@AlfredtwinSim7 жыл бұрын
+Cen Andrew You need a software that warps your output according to your specific screen setup. I use FlyElise Calibration Pro. Takes some time to understand how and is not cheap either, but worth it!
