I like this casting process. The Flip Mold is awesome.

This... this right here. This is how one should melt metal. Good showing. Earned a new sub.

You just got a new sub! Awesome ingots and bars. I also love the tipper contraption. Are your crucibles made of steel? If so, how thick are they? And how long do they last? And is your furnace fired from the side or from the bottom? Thank you for a really interesting video, I’ll be sure to watch all your other vids aswell.

for aluminum it is a 6x9x.25 inch pipe and a 3/8 rod for handle. this one has like 4 5 melts on it about 400 450 pounds so far and still has some life left yet, the sides are getting a bit thin but can get to less then 1/8inch before need to worry about it. the copper one is 5x6x.25" only can get about 2 maybe 3 runs on that around 85 115 pounds if control temp really good. the foundry just has a 1.5" pipe from side to spin flame around lot more safe so propane can reignite itself
