I enjoy watching these videos of young women showing their apartments, it reminds me of when I was young living in small apartments, my life still before me and exciting, not knowing what was ahead. Now, at my age, having raised 2 special needs grandkids, living on 4 acres with a pond in the south, you just never know what the future holds, but life is always exciting and you just have to see how it turns out. God has led me to where I am now.

This is REALLy well done for such a small space. I love that you didn't over-crowd it with things. It doesn't look cramped or cluttered at all. It seems quite cozy.

I lived in a SMALLER than this apartment in Boston for 7 years. NO separate bedroom, so a friend built a loft for my mattress. A tiny separate kitchen not one you could eat in. A bathroom without a shower(that was fun). Sooooooooo small, a friend once said: It’s so small, you have to go out in the hall to change your mind! Oh, yeah, and &135.00 a month. (early 70’s)

This is SO good! I cannot believe it's only 270sqft! I live in a 480sqft studio in downtown Cleveland and it seems so overcrowded compared to this. This motivates me to purge some things and use the space more wisely. Thank you for sharing and congrats on the new place!

Agree. It’s homey well divided and lovely parquet floors and brick add lots of character

Warm and cozy space that seems personal. Reminds me of an old studio I lived in Sutton Place on E. 54th. You seem like an art history major, if your art was personally selected. The exposed brick is about as warm and old school NYC as you can get, along with the parquet floors. Love it! Seriously. So warm and real, which is so uncommon today.

That is so beautiful. I'll be an empty nester this year and may be downsizing to a one bedroom apartment. This really showed me that I don't need an extra bedroom to have to clean and pay more rent for something I'll barely use. I really enjoyed this video.

What I really like is that you actually have a decent sized wardrobe. In so many of the NYC apartment tours, people only have six pairs of shoes, two coats, tops and pants, the same as if they were living in those ridiculously small tiny homes. I enjoy dressing up whenever I leave the house so I have a lot of clothes, shoes, and purses. I live alone in a 930 sq ft 2 bedroom house. Anything smaller would make me feel claustrophobic. You have performed a miracle in making your space feel airy despite its size.

Over your stove is the worst place to store your spices. Exposure to direct heat will degrade the spice and oils. Store spices in a dry and dark cabinet. You could store tin foil and parchment paper for example.

U did great with a small space. I think NYC and a few other big cities could use more of these smaller units for folks just starting out or who do not need a lot of space at least for a while until they can move to something bigger as well as more expensive. Those larger, full scale units are for those folks who graduate as software engineers and others in high wage professions who can go directly from college to $3500 (or more} a month apts.
