In my Aunt voice I want to say your apartment is so cute! OMG. Cute may not be the word you want to hear but I say that about things I like. You have a great decorating style. Yes, the giant windows and the fireplace are what sell that place. I love your choices in furniture, decor and arrangement. It’s warm and inviting. In your kitchen, can the light bulb be changed to a warm tone since the cabinets are bright white and it seems to be too harsh for you? (Ditto for the bedroom and bathroom). Also, some added under cabinets lighting would be a game changer, especially at night. You can get some fixtures that plug in and could be attached with 3M double stick adhesive that go with the hooks and easily removed when you move out. Your personalizations make that space so homey, useful. Adorable. 👍👍 Two thumbs up! That green toaster is a good pop of color for your counter top if you decide to keep it out. I love the living room the best! Of course because of the windows.

I decided that I would see how much I wear by not wearing the same thing twice and wearing a different outfit daily. I will put all the clothes I wear after it’s been washed on the hanger backwards. I have a couple outfits to check if they fit and will donate if they don’t. I have dropped a size and I know lots won’t fit and I have bought new clothes which do so I have to be ruthless.

I’m dreading doing this DREADING maybe I should save this and you be my body double while I do mine! 😂

I never did this until after my retirement, had no idea how much I owned until then. Got rid of 2/3. Gone are all my office attire, and all shoes. Only kept sneakers that fit and my boots. I now live in jeans, shorts, tees, and sneakers or boots. BTW, I still own a huge collection of coats, love my coats❤.

My cousin & I recently went through her closet & she got rid of clothes! In that closet she had enough to load every inch in my minicooper up to only see out of the mirrors & front windows. What a donation she made. We should have recorded it. We also downsized her furniture by using smaller open storage containers in the closet & hanging her TV. We went through her kitchen & all that went to a local thrift store. So many coffee mugs, travel thermos & small appliances, just wow. We gave away more from other rooms & decluttered her outdoor patio. About a week of solid purging. It just felt so good & opened her home to having cozy areas. We just had such a great visit & going down memory lane together.

I always wash everything before I give it away

Don’t throw away any clothes but do donate to homeless shelters or people or churches or charities or laundromat and thrift shops

Congrats and Happy New Year! Getting started is the worst part for me! Before I head out, I look around and ensure there isn't more. The nonprofit I go to is true to its cause. They do a fine job, and I feel good that others benefit from what I no longer use. Thank you for inspiring others to donate clothing that is no longer used and bless others.

I love a good wardrobe purge! So satisfying and so much easier to pick an outfit each day when you can see what you have.

The hardest Part is always getting rid of the clothes you actually love but realising they're just not your style.

I really love the black pillow with it looked like magnolia flowers on it. The mirror in the kitchen has been hung straight, slightly off centre doesnt bother me.

I purchased wood hangers from Amazon and it made my clothes and closet look 1,000 times better. Each time I get something new, I donate a item from my closet

I was ready to say you dont have too many clothes then you piled the bed. I have clothes that are 10 years plus even a jumped from when I was 19 and Im 72 now. But I have 1/4 of your clothes. If you love buying the clothes you love then there's no need to give them away. I repurpose clothes I don't wear or donate (with tags still on) those dresses that I have misguidedly purchased off an instagram page that the thing that arrives is SO NOT what was advertised only a cheap trash thing. Never buy clothes or shoes from 'pop up' pages on instagram.
