Your videos are one of the primary reasons why I got the silver MRG last season. Much better in-person, and estatic everyday. Now, I can watch your videos while wearing it haha. Many cheers

ah thank you.. The MR-G squares are a special watch. I know they are expensive and seem so close to the full metal GMW-B5000s but the MR-G bad boys are different and being titanium they have a different feel in the hand. The black one MRG-B5000B with the gold back plate and pushers is also a funny one as it provides a lot of interest also. In my opinion the MR-G squares compliment the cheaper resin squares and we have the new GW-5000U solid steel case with resin covers that will be a big deal.. well for me anyway.

@@masterwatch yessir, I still predominantly wear my resin Gshocks and other Casios as I don't have to worry too much and there are so many varieties. I love them all!
@masterwatch3 ай бұрын
@@TheNunakun there is a new GW-5000U in white and black coming out end of 2024 or early 2025 and if they have updated the display quality this is going to be a cool release.

I really like this MR-G, and as the first MR-G square (along with it's black counterpart) I think it'll be a future classic.

All the MR-G Squares are probably going to be very collectable the minute they are no longer made.

I love the silver MRG square. I want one. I wear my GMWB5000D-1 while working from home constantly. Fantastic module and the milled & polished solid link bracelet and clasp is very good quality. There is nothing better than Japanese engineering & manufacturing. I love Casio G Shock and Grand Seiko. No swiss for me.

The MR-G is a different level but still the GMWs are excellent.

Silver MRG square is my favourite MRG, hands down. You should look at the MRG-G1000 line next, specifically the DC variant, which is incredible. It should suit you too MW, because you like large watches.

I've got a feeling G-Shock has some cool releases coming up and my bank account is already shacking 😬

You're very good, I'm not going to wake up without at least 3 strong coffees. To be honest, if I could choose only one watch, that would be a Frog GWF-D1000, it's really special, just like you said, a build quality is noticeable, but that's only if you get a chance to hold that thing in your hands, there's no other way. Your MRG is not retro, it just looks retro, that's just a result of a long development and research, which started 1996. with the OG, MRG-1. The amount of thought and ideas in that thing has been insane, it's still today in my opinion. That was a real essence of MRG, a blast, I absolutely love it. good video

Yes MR-Gs really are something special and I think we are going to see more bank account killers coming our way. You are right the GWF-D1000 is super and I was expecting a new replacement for this model this year but it has not happened.. yet.

That is a beautiful watch. I have always wanted to see one in the metal, no one carries one where I live.
@masterwatch3 ай бұрын
In the hand they are different to the steel full metal and lighter. I probably prefer the weight of the steel full metal.
@MPD902 ай бұрын
@@masterwatch I do like the weight of the steel in hand, but on the wrist it can be a tad uncomfortable particularly on a hot day. The titanium G's feel surprisingly light in hand, but on the wrist I'm yet to find a more comfortable watch on a bracelet.

I see and understand your affinity to the MRG square silver and I am absolutely stunned by its beauty. My one question is if it scratches easily?
@masterwatch18 күн бұрын
The titanium used is much harder than normal titanium or steel so it is much more scratch resistant but if it is knocked against a sharp surface it will mark.
@art554418 күн бұрын
Thank you, MW. I so wanted to pull the trigger on this watch for the longest time but this concern has been bugging me. Again, thank you so much.
@masterwatch17 күн бұрын
@@art5544 normal wear you won't see any scratches for it to mark you would have to knock it against a hard material.

G-Shock Metal Square has the size from which I start wearing a watch on my right wrist. Anything smaller (or lighter), I can wear on my left wrist with no issues, but maybe this MR-G is lighter. I love it for running though, so MR-G might be an overkill for it😊
@masterwatch3 ай бұрын
That is interesting as I wear watches most of time on my right arm but I do wear on left also.

For a watch video this is, at best, a very very slow one. I would not define a man showing off his $3.500 Casio G-Shock, as a watch review.
@masterwatch3 ай бұрын

IMO it's better to watch a genuine owner who's passionate about the watch, showing us what matters in his experience as an owner, over a traditional review by someone who's been sent the watch for a week by a dealer. Just my 2 cents.
